It was exciting but the football was nothing to write home about.

It was basically 6 goals from set pieces with a load of shite football thrown in, but it was a derby and hard on the heart. Went for a walk when Sturridge equalised.

The way BT Sport interviewed Martinez afterwards you'd have thought he was Rinus Michels in disguise. 'Thank you for providing us with this glorious style of football, blah blah' - I don't know, I'm not usually blind to the quality of a match, but this rarely struck me as a great football match. I guess there were times when one side played well but only when the other team was going through an ineffective phase.

I actually thought we played a good game. Apart from 20 mins 2nd half and a few personal errors.

Very very unlucky not to get all three despite how it turned out, so I feel much more content than after the Arsenal game.

4th is very much within reach.

But games last 90 mins Kris. Switching off for a quarter of the game is not good and personal errors from the defence and / or goalkeeper usually result in goals!
