thank you very much for being such a stoopid cunt and knowing so little about football, thank you for selling Sturridge to us, believing you know best.

I wanted Sturridge when we signed Carroll but he is going to be much better than I thought he would be. Chelseas loss our gain. Bearing in mind he is easing himself into a new club are any of the current Chelsea strikers better than him?
 
big big mistake. could've kept the 7mil for Ba and had a younger and better player aswell

Indeed ! Given a run of games in his favoured position I think he will go from strength to strength and can only get better. We look so much better offenceably when he and Suarez play together. He cost the same as Borini as well - remarkable
 
Not to burst anyone's bubble here but he also paid for Stewie and a talentless giant.

look you two would you continue your tete a tete somewhere else - the point is they let Sturridge go - possibly their best striker for relative peanuts
 
Back to the subject - Sturridge has been a fantastic addition for us, and at a real knock-down price. A couple more buys of this calibre and we'll be back in business.
 
Downing's probably never going to prove value for money, but its worth accepting that, moving on, and enjoying the new lease of life he has shown. Suarez and Sturridge can only get so much better - Downing has more room, so it makes sense to get behind him as he has a big capacity to help us become a better team.
 
Sturridge really impresses me. I didnt believe there was so much talent there.

To think we are where we are in the table in spite of Abromovich's best efforts to not let it happen is a bit sad...
 
I agree with the whole sentiment of this , and have to say it comes as no surprise he is doing well, perhaps I was not expecting him to be THIS good, I am just amazed that it only seemed to be us that recognised his potential and the real issues that stopped him reaching his potential,min that he was a young lad trying to break past striking icons
 
Always rated him highly, but even I've been taken back at how good he has been. Sturridge has given me a lot of hope that we're on the right path.

Maybe not cheap as chips but a bargain nevertheless. What is amazing is the twats sold their best striker - an act of inconceivable stupidity, and a fair bit of stubborness from Abramovich who just can't accept he got it wrong with Torres.
 
I thought he had tremendous potential, but I didn't realize he was this good already. Fair play to the lad - has come here, taken his opportunity, got the right attitude and is giving us an extra edge in attack. Good on the lad!

When was the last time we had two goalscoring strikers?

I was referring to the fact that jon545660's post said Torrers was $50M while Sturridge was £12 (i.e. no M)
