Tevez vs Rafa

If that's the case you can only presume Benitez's new contract has influenced his transfer policy.

With more time on his hands maybe he's looking more towards the long-term future of the side, signing good players when they become available, rather than the 'must win the title next year', quick-fix players.

That said, I still reckon we'll still be in for Silva.

I don't want this self-obsessed clown anywhere near Anfield. If only he was half as good as he thinks he is.

Carlos Tevez has accused Sir Alex Ferguson of blowing the chance to win the Champions League Final by dropping him.

The Argentina marksman - whose United contract expires today - is poised to sign a five-year deal with Manchester rivals City this week in a £25million swoop.

"You cannot argue with Alex Ferguson," said Tevez. "He is like the president of England. It is impossible, you always lose.

"But he made a mistake to leave me on the bench. That was the only final the team had lost since I had been at Manchester United."

Upset at being frozen out by the arrival last summer of Dimitar Berbatov, Tevez rejected the offer of a new deal to stay at Old Trafford.

He added: "My family knows how much I suffered at United. I could not arrive home after a match or a training session and forget my pain. It was not good and I transmitted all my sadness to them."

Luis Antonio Valencia will complete his £16m move to Manchester United today, taking over Cristiano Ronaldo's old No.7 shirt.

Valencia passed a medical yesterday and will sign a four-year contract worth £75,000-a-week following his move from Wigan.

At least he's got that part right.

Utd signing Valencia pleases me greatly. Have I mentioned that before?

Since when England has a president? Or he said that on purpose?

5 years after... BREAKING NEWS "Fergie finally set to leave United after being elected for the 1st president of England breaking Guiness record for the oldest president ever" 😱

I told you Tevez is a legend in his own mind, he will be a good recruit for City or Chelsea. unbelievable attitude but also shows you that Fergie is prepared to overlook that sort of thing in the persuit of titles. Ronaldo was exactly the same, he was pushing for that move and being a cock on and off the pitch but Fergie did nothing, even Hansen picked up on how he would let him get away with murder but obviously it looks like he had enough
