That defence i reckon will work for two reasons: If Di Maria goes down the left, Mascher will be all up in his grill, hound him etc. If Di Maria switches to RW, then he'll find it more difficult to cut inside, and he struggled going down the byline on the right last week when given the oppurtunity.

Switch the fullbacks and Aquaman for Gerrard and you should be spot on. The only exception is of course that Lucas will play for Aquaman... Which is shameful.... FUCK FUCK FUCK!
 
It seems we are able to carry Insua but not Lucas.

Insua was not that exposed when Carra was playing RB. I even thought our defense had a solid run of games. As soon as Johnson returned Insua was again left exposed and even Agger has struggled to cover for him. We need to improve on him, but we can get by till then end of the season (as if we have a choice)

We simply have too many passengers in this Team. The sad thing though is that we seem to have better players sitting on the bench. The number of games Lucas has started inexplicable......

because mash was absolutely knackered doing so much chasing last thurday.
this is obviously calling down the wrath of brenden but lucas is being used in totally the wrong way and its making him look like a cunt, he is not and shouldn't be used as an out and out holding midfielder. I will bet any money for the lucas that plays for brazil will be unrecognisable from the lucas that plays for liverpool and when it happens better will come out with 'he's got better players around him' and 'purple patch', BETCHA!

Oh well, that's that fucked so. Didn't Kuyt play on the left forward for holland a couple of times? He could *possibly* do a job out there. Seeing as how he's so adept at being defensive at right mid. That means eggnog up front with Torres though, he'd probably just get in the way.

By the way... After that performance on Sunday, and coming out yesterday blaming the loss of key players - I'd say it's an absolute certainty Torres plays a significant part Tonight.

God knows what odds he is to score at some stage, but I'd be all over it.
