If Ghana had a Drogba, then for sure. The best midfield out of all the African teams and a decent enough defence. But some of their forwards are woeful bordering sh*te. If that Inter lad Balotelli declared for Ghana, then they'd have a good shot at getting far in the knockout stages. But he won't, and Ghana will go out probably in the 2nd round to a well-organised European team who take their chances.

Heh, that sounds quite apt.

Ibro is not painting a very flattering picture. I've seen him once or twice and as said, he's looked good when making powerful runs forward, but he didn't seem to have the best positional sense at the back and liable to get caught out.

Most damning of all however, is that he's no longer that good on FM!!! Avoid like the plague!

Still only 24 though, and his pace makes up for the positional glips.

The reason I like him, is cause there aren't many left backs that are made for the Prem. But this lad is.
Pace, strength, defensive and attacking qualities. Big lad aswell and can head a ball.

I'd like him and a new cb for next season. Maybe Subotic or something.

With 4 really quality defenders, the midfielders could concentrate about, well, attacking for once. No more 2 full backs on one side.

I've seen Taiwo quite a bit, and the big black Riise comment is basically accurate. He's a likeable player because he's full-blooded - does bone-crunching tackles, net-bursting shots etc. Great to watch, but also alarmingly erratic, at times clumsy, and quite often caught out of position. If we could put Aurelio's brain in Taiwo's body, we'd be sorted.

Saw him in the ACON before this one. He's fuckin massive and had a shot from about 3 quarters of a mile that almost snapped the bar into 6000 pieces.

I agree with Ibro on this one. Taiwo's great going forward, has a great shot, but he's not the best defender out there. His positional sense can be quite poor, he gets caught out of position a lot.

He's been dropped to the bench for the last two Nigerian games in the AFCON. I really don't think we should sign him.

I'm sure his agent's just doing a bit of marketing here.

Attacking fullbacks often get 'caught out of position' because they can't be in 2 places at once. For a fullback just beinng good defensively is no longer enough.
