I think he's been a bit unlucky really, weird time to sell him with Mane and Origi leaving. Ah well.

Yeah this worries me. We've gone from having ridiculous squad depth to, well, not...

A lot of responsibility being placed on the youngsters now

Have we. We've lost Origi, Minamino and Mane and gained Diaz, Nunez & Carvalho (just forwards or AM). That looks like a net gain to me.

Weird to say, but Taki reminded me of Muller in the way he exploited space. He always seemed to have a yard or 2 in the box.

After we signed Diaz in January;

Origi played 10 mins in the CL, 100 mins in the cups and 90mins in the league.
Minamino played 0 mins in the CL, 330 mins in the cups and140 mins in the league.

Effectively about 2,5 league games in total. I think Carvalho can muster that if needed.

So what you're saying is, minamino was absolutely vital in the only stuff we won?

Haha, sadly he didnt play in the semi final or final in the FA cup or in the Cowabunga cup final.
He’s probably the perfect player if you want to get to the later rounds of the cups.

He was clearly bought because we knew Mane was leaving and even Klopp said it was earlier than planned.
We can't disassociate him because it suits the rhetoric.

I'm just saying in terms of options we had on paper at the end of the season going into the new season. It seems considerably lighter.

Origi was on the bench for 11 PL games. Its not like we can say he was much of an option to be honest.

I really don't think there's much to worry about losing Minamino and Origi. They basically never played in the league. And Carvalho replaces one of them anyway.
