Downing would go for £6-8m IMO. We won't sell Henderson but he'd go for £10m+ if we did. Carroll I think we'll get £12m or so for.

Single figures will barely get you a striker in the PL these days, it's basically peanuts.

Well I wish I could share your optimism re: the figures.

I'd say you were bang on the money.

Especially with the increased Tv revenue

Forget the fact that he cost £35m two seasons ago, would anyone in their right minds pay £12m for a striker who's managed 3 goals this season? I think that figure is very optimistic.

Well I guess we'll find out. You can hold me to that valuation.

Unlikely, as in practice there's always a fairly reliable consensus of the fee not officially disclosed.

12 mill is probably close to what we'll get.
I hope he scores a few more goals at WH, as it will at least look like he has some goalscoring ability.
The figures we've agreed with WH wont happen imo.

Sanchez would be an unreal signing. Amazing if we could pull that one off. Amazing player, taylor made for our style of play.

Strange that he hasnt been as good this season and played a lot less. Maybe Villanova doesnt rate him.
Would be an unreal signing and would cost a shitload.

Sanchez Suarez Coutinho
Sturridge

Valencia full-back Aly Cissokho has admitted he is flattered to be linked with Liverpool and reaffirmed his love of the English game.

APAly Cissokho signed for Valencia from Lyon in 2012

Cissokho, 25, was linked with a switch to Anfield while at Lyon, and though he joined Valencia last summer, his name continues to be mentioned as a potential addition to Brendan Rodgers' squad.
"I've never hidden the fact that the English league is the one that attracts me the most. It's pleasing to see my name linked to Liverpool," he told Le Parisien newspaper. "They're a great club, and not just anyone can wear that shirt. But it's still just an article in a newspaper."

There were a few stories about Rodgers moving Enrique on in the summer, could be a replacement or could happen regardless.

Selling Enrique is a terrible idea imo, he's a fine full back and the least of our worries.

He's been playing well but I'm not a fan, I guess we'll see what Rodgers thinks of him in the summer. Cissokho is on sky sports 4 atm, seems alright, fit lad.

I see the Mirror are running with a Agger is Barcas top defensive target this summer.
Would you sell?

It's a tricky one. In isolation of everything else my answer would be "Yes, for the right price".

The problem this summer is that Carra is retiring, Skrtel is out of favour and Coates face doesn't seem to fit. If we sell Agger too it'll mean we're replacing our entire complement of centre-backs. In a season we'll all be expecting to see a marked improvement from the team and Rodgers.

It'd be very risky. Are there any other examples of clubs successfully contending with this?>

Is part of the issue with our summer spending the fact that we have to reduce our "losses" to a level sufficient enough bring our average losses over the past 3 seasons down to a level that meets the financial fair play rules?

Which means some high earners will have to be sold, transfers funds will be limited and transfer income will be partly used to balance finances?
