Summer Silly Season 2016

I don't know enough about football to say he would never make it with us. I do know that £6M is a good price for someone nearly left on a free a year ago and has played a handful of fixtures since.

Moreno is going to start as first choice and a young understudy will be bought in. Should that happen it will prove a big mistake from Klopp and we'll suffer for it.

Liverpool are on the brink of selling left-back Brad Smith to Bournemouth for £6million.
The Reds have accepted an offer for the Australia international, who has been granted permission to hold talks with the Cherries.
Smith is set to leave the club's pre-season tour of America and fly back to the UK.

Boss Jurgen Klopp has been in the market for a new left-back all summer and will pursue a replacement to compete with Alberto Moreno for a starting spot.
It will be the second time this summer that Liverpool have done business with Bournemouth following the £15millon sale of England Under-21s winger Jordon Ibe.
The ECHO understands that sell-on and buy-back clauses will be included in the deal for Smith.
The 22-year-old Academy graduate has made 11 senior appearances for the Reds.

Squad that travelled:

(source: http://www.thisisanfield.com/2016/07/academy-trio-involved-liverpool-travel-pre-season-tour-us/)

Liverpool US Tour Squad (TBC):

Keepers:

Karius, Mignolet, Manninger, George

Defenders:
Lovren, Matip, Klavan, Wisdom, Sakho*, Gomez*, Clyne, Randall, Alexander-Arnold, Moreno, Smith

Midfielders:
Lucas*, Grujic, Can, Henderson, Milner, Brannagan, Stewart; Ejaria, Lallana, Markovic, Mane, Coutinho, Ojo, Wijnaldum

Strikers/Forwards:
Firmino, Ings, Sturridge, Origi, Benteke

* injured players (but still travelled)

Now here's the interesting part...

Players who didn't travel:
Ryan Kent, Luis Alberto, Mario Balotelli, Pedro Chirivella, Flanagan, Ilori (Olympics), Allen

My take:

Alberto, Allen and Balotelli are getting sold. Chirivella, Kent and Flanagan will be loaned out.
Obviously Ilori is going to the Olympics, but I guess he'll be sold as well.

Why not start a new thread with this?

Can we get into the habit of starting new threads where necessary..

If common sense isn't taken, then we will look to lock down this thread..

Thanks

Anyone see the hilariously depressing pics of Toure in his Celtic unveiling? Never has a player looked less excited in his signing for a new club. Appaz the official celtic twitter account ended up deleting the 'Welcome to Paradise' tweet, with Toure looking like he'd just found out his wife has been cheating on him with his best mate.
