Subotic to us has been considered as all but guaranteed it seems. I hope so, cos he'd be a fantastic addition.

That's a brilliant price too.

Great news - going into a new season with one CB hitting form again (Dejan) and two new additions is very exciting. Add a fit again Joe Gomez and the defence is starting to look a bit less of a worry.

BREAKING NEWS
We understand that Manchester United’s chief executive Ed Woodward has begun negotiations in the last 48 hours that could see Paul Pogba return to Old Trafford in a world record deal worth £100m.
Juventus are known to be keen to keep hold of the 23-year old, but would find it hard to resist such a deal, which would see Pogba earn up to £300K a week.
The player is also being courted by Real Madrid.

Who is "we"?

So who was matuidi flying in to having talks with , surely not united on the basis that it seems there is genuine movement regarding pogba ?

Also Firmino has piled on the pounds big time over summer judging by a training image I saw earlier #gegenatkinsdiet

Agreed, but I've got a feeling he'll consider them beneath him even if by some fluke they can meet his salary demands. Sampdoria, who are a bigger name in Serie A by some margin, have also expressed an interest, but this isn't the first time they've done so and he turned them down before.

I would pay the bugger off if he doesn't go for one of these deals. Enough already. The sooner we can forget the great lummox ever darkened our door, the better.

The Chinese call him "BA SHEN", and the character "SHEN" stands for a god or a deity. He had quite a reputation in China, probably due to that world cup, and he was probably as famous as Gerrard back then.

It's too bad the Chinese had gotten so rich, or else it would have been a coup for them to get him. If his reputation was of 3 years ago they would have signed him for £20million, easy.

Well, they appear to have made Hodgson an offer so, if they're that willing to overlook current uselessness, they could yet [he says hopefully] come in for Balotelli, tho' I wonder whether he'd go there.

According to BILD, Liverpool are considering a move for Jakub Blaszczykowski who would cost between €5m-€7m. #LFC
"As a child, Błaszczykowski witnessed a family tragedy which had a major influence on his life. In September 1996, when he was 10 years old, his father stabbed his mother to death. After his father went to prison, he and his older brother, Dawid, were raised by their grandmother. He briefly gave up football, but with the encouragement of his uncle, Jerzy Brzęczek, a former captain of the Polish national football team, he decided to resume training at Raków Częstochowa two months later. Błaszczykowski has credited his successes to his grandmother. He dedicates every goal he scores to his mother and can be seen looking up to the sky during goal celebrations"

Is Dahoud deal dead in the water? Or just smokescreen?

Quotes from the man himself.

"I am fully focused on Monchengladbach at the moment," Dahoud told Kicker.
"Who says I should leave Gladbach? I still have room for improvement.
"My finishing has to improve, I have to get stronger in the air and I can still improve physically to get stronger on the pitch."

Bournemouth are apparently signing Lewis Cook from Leeds for £6 million. Continuing the policy of signing English and/or lower league talents (Tyrone Mings, Benik Afobe last season and Callum Wilson the season before).

Neven Subotic has been exempt from training to discuss personal terms with an unnamed club. confirmed by BVB official twitter account.

Rumours are it's us with a fee of around €10m agreed

Seems like it's Middlesbrough.

[article]BORUSSIA Dortmund defender Neven Subotic has held talks with Middlesbrough over a move to Teesside.

The Serbian defender, wanted by Sunderland, has been at the Riverside for a look round after Dortmund gave him permission to speak with the Premier League new-boys.

Subotic is understood to have been shown around the Riverside Stadium and held advanced discussions over the switch, although there is still thought to be some work to do on the deal.

The 27-year-old will cost Middlesbrough around £8m if the transfer does go through, although his German employers are happy for the deal to take place.

Dortmund tweeted this morning “Subotic was released from training, to lead negotiations with a potential new club.”[/article]

Thats a shame.. Although he was quoted he doesn't want to sit on the bench so makes sense to move down a level.
