Suarez's 17 in 11

Trouble is, you couldn't replace his quality with 100m.
Look at Spurs without Bale. Their complete toothlessness now means that he was worth a lot more to them than Madrid paid for him.
It would be the same for us - spending 100m on a bunch of players that May or may not turn out good.
Whoever scouted and bought us Suarez was a frikken genius.

Camoli I believe

In 1993 Andy Cole scored 34goals in 40games, that's an average of 0.85goals a game over the season. Suarez is currently doing 1.5goals per game. If he kept that up, he'd have 51 goals for the season!! Haha
As Keegan would say, I'd love it, love it if he broke that record.
Think Ronaldo had the highest average though 0.9+

Rafa asked Kenny to scout him. Kenny scouted him & recommended him, commoli signed him for Roy.

A fucked up disjointed long term team effort that!

Steven Gerrard: We need to enjoy Luis Suarez while he's here

Steven Gerrard told Sky Sports that Liverpool need to enjoy Luis Suarez while he's still with them because the big clubs will be sniffing to sign him in this form.
Suarez scored twice in Liverpool's rampant 5-0 victory over Tottenham at White Hart Lane and club captain Gerrard believes it's vital the club qualify for the Champions League to keep hold of the Premier League's leading goalscorer.
Gerrard, who was a special guest on Super Sunday said: "He's relentless, he doesn't give up no matter what the scoreline is, he's always chasing defenders back.

"He wanted a hat-trick today, in the 90th minute he's trying to get his third goal and that just sums him up, he never gives up.
"We're lucky to have him and we need to enjoy him while he's here because if he keeps performances up like this, I hate to say it, but the big guns are going to be sniffing which is what we don't want.

"Luis is the key to that (Champions League qualification). If he can stay in this form and keep producing good performances and goals like that, there's no doubt we'll finish in the top four and that's what Luis wants and that's what he deserves, he deserves to be in the Champions League. A player of that quality has to be in the Champions League.
"I think on current form he's the best player in the world and that's not being biased because he's my team-mate and I'm a big fan of him.
"He scored two today and set up all the others and still hasn't got man of the match and that goes to show how good Jordan Henderson was.
"I'd say it was Brendan Rodgers' best game for Liverpool and I'd say it was Jordan Henderson's as well. Liverpool fans are going away with hundreds of positives from today."

If Houllier gets zero credit for a load of players he signed winning the Champions League, it's slightly fucking ridiculous to suggest that credit should go to Rafa for someone else signing him.

The person who pulls the trigger is the only one who can claim credit.

16-12-13
THE FA has confirmed that as of 7pm last night, kicking Luis Suarez is no longer a punishable offence.
He heals almost instantly
Heals almost instantly
The nibbly striker has been the cause of several bookings this season after players have kicked him, including yesterday’s red card against Paulinho, which many supporters feel is against the spirit of the game.

FA spokesman Tom Logan said: “We’ll keep it to just kicking him as hard as anyone likes for now but if he doesn’t get the picture then we’ll legalise biting him a bit as well.”

The Uruguayan will appeal against the FA’s ruling later this week but their lawyers have defended the decision on the basis they made it as a friendly, conciliatory gesture.

The FA will also send Suarez a basket of apples with a note asking how he likes them.

Similar previous measures have been used by the FA, such as the now-defunct 2002 ruling that required all references to Robbie Savage, both on and off the pitch, to be prefaced with the phrase ‘that arsehole’.

Match of the Day has supported the move, with the show launching a ‘Hoofing Suarez in the nuts of the month’ competition.[/article]

He had? Oh right. I remember watching Suarez score on his Anfield debut (sitting in mark mcs seat, boss view, I was right on top of him running the line) & for some reason thought Roy was the manager.

Remember that night. 3-5-2 against Stoke. Kenny and Clarke.

Yeah, I've since been thinking about it & I remember Kenny clapping the Kop from the dug out when they sung his name.

Seriously boys, 17 goals in 11 games and no penalties. How is that even possible in the premiership? No one has ever done that before, that I know of.
Every high scoring striker we've had these past 30 years bar Torres have taken penalties as well.

Hahhaha

Honestly, if Suarez is certain to leave in the summer, this is the best chance we'll have to win the league in at least 5 years. He cant be replaced.

Let him leave, but at least strenghten the team with top class players in the winter when we still have the chance.

It's insane and frankly - I just can't get enough!

It want commoli, that much is for sure. I wondered why we and others weren't in for him, after South Africa.

Yeah that is hard to comprehend, he was quality in SA, i remember a Redknapp interview a while back saying he had him scouted while at Spurs and didn't think he would be up to PL football, Haha!, he obviously wasn't the only one to think that.
