Suarez's 17 in 11

You could see he was boss at Groningen. Fuck knows why we bought Babel instead.

The Dutch league is probably the easiest league among the "Big" leagues in Europe to score in. Some average Swedish strikers score for fun over there.
But Suarez was just amazing in Ajax, almost averaged a goal per game there.
But I guess the turning point was the world cup and later on Copa America. He has definitely become better since joining us.

His quality stood out for sure. He was scoring from everywhere and was also supplying the goals for Huntelaar at Ajax. Most of his own goals were from a wide position. He only moved further forward when Hunterlaar was sold. His record at Groningen was at least as good as Babel but at a much worse club.

True, but Ajax play total football. Suarez as evident from our games, likes to cut in from the left.

Let him do whatever the fuck he wants I reckon. Seems to work.

He was largely on the left at Ajax. Direct replacement for Babel.

It's that stupid laughing green smiley face thing they use that does me in. It's so woefully tragic that it get's used as some sort of weird punctuation. It is a utd website though so I really shouldn't be surprised.

Not very much. I'm pretty certain Arsenal, Chelsea and City will finish in the top 4 so I think the question of 4th place boils down to United or Liverpool. Even though our start has been awful, we still pretty much have same team that walked to the title last season (minus a few injured players). The idea that we'll fail to finish 4th is unthinkable. And you're still Liverpool, when it comes down to it. You'll fuck up eventually.
Christ, the arrogance.

Strange hearing him speak because its so rare i guess, all the bullshit aside you can tell he is actually a nice bloke just like everyone working for our club has always said along with the likes of Jol and Poyet who know him well.

Wenger put it well about angel off the pitch and a demon on it.

[article]* Luis Suarez has scored more goals (17) than Tottenham, Aston Villa, Hull, Stoke, Norwich, Cardiff, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Sunderland[/article]

If that stat can continue for the rest of the season, we'll win the league.

It's all well and good saying that in hindsight. But almost no-one was unhappy when we signed Babel.

I'm tempted to try and find the post Glock made about how Suarez wasn't good enough for my own amusement (and to give Rosco a sense of validation).

All the Ajax fans I know were bemused when we were bidding for Babel. I was asking if he was any good and the answer was a universal no because of his limitation of cutting in from the left and shooting with his right every single time. I guess people on here were just excited we were spending cash on a winger from Ajax. He probably had great You Tubes. Still find him funny though.

Much funnier than going through Glocks post history. Was he ever right on anything?
