Sterling loan?

It's been a bit of a year for the lad, breaks into first team, necessity to play more than we would like, gets big contract after billionaire club rumours England call up, seeds more kids, arrest and court case.
He needs a break, with a few appearances from the bench, and a nice settled close season, coming back fresh, not some championship Neanderthals clogging him from now to the end of the season

regards
Agreed

AT EIGHTEEN YOU'RE NEVER TIRED.

In fairness, if you spend every day playing football with lots of people who are bigger and stronger than you, then every evening going around seeing various children with various women, then you would be a bit tired whatever your age.

At that age, in that position, many players are self-anaesthetising themselves with the permanent adrenaline rush they get from being involved. They don't feel tired (cf. Michael Owen) but they are actually running on empty far sooner than they realise it, and mentally they've never had to think so much, so quickly and intensely, before in their lives - certainly not academically! - so they need a break. You can see it every game these days with Sterling - he can still run around but he's several seconds too slow when it comes to making a pass or a move. Even for the reserves earlier this week, twice in quick succession, he got into the penalty area and then, as if in a trance, passed the ball straight to a defender. So, yes, for the 1000th time, he needs a bloody rest!

Hope its nothing like the bebe situation at united.

Im sorry but that deal was quite clearly set up as a transaction to allow a top club to line the pockets of an influential agent, its the smartest most publicbung of all time
