So we've still got 75M to spend then...

I love how we're back in the underdog position again after selling Suarez and after Arsenal's and Chelsea's transfers. "Scrapping for 4th" with Man United and Spurs seems to be the common expectation.

Well, suits me. It's a position I actually like to be in because there's (relatively) less pressure / expectation on a young team, and we can stay submerged for a long time and then surprise again like last season, hopefully. I'm happy to let Arsenal lead the pack and collapse again after Christmas, or see Chelsea's success on all fronts start disintegrating because they have just one useful striker. Or Man United start with a bang and then tail off with a whimper as Van Gaal realizes that the problem is bigger than he's imagined.

We could actually end up 4th or worse of course, but another season like last season would be quite pleasing.

I reckon we'll end up signing Moreno and Lovren, and I suppose Origi as well.

If Remy reduces his wage demands and we sign him it's likely to be a huge improvement over Fabio (and I actually like Borini), but we really need another top striker on top of him. It doesn't need to be a "marquee" signing... maybe the club feels someone like Firmino, who looks like he could be ready to establish himself as one of the better young strikers in Europe, could be the answer, or maybe it's someone like Bony, who looks like he'll be a consistent goal threat in the Premier League, but we need someone we can rely upon when Sturridge picks up one of his injuries that keep him out for an extended period of time. I'm not convinced Lambert or Remy should be the players we turn to when this happens.

I know we have a bit of money at the moment from doing financially well last season and having a reasonably sound wage structure and from the 100mil worth of players going out etc.

But it would be nice if we were prudent about it. The squadies such as Remy, Davies aside i hope we only buy a player who has a high chance of fitting in and a player who will have the potential to be the club's talisman. If that players is not available in this window, I hope we keep the powder dry so we can recruit well in the January transfer window. Historically we have bought well in that window.....Suarez, Coutinho, Sturridge etc. Hopefully the liquidity can be put to good use with regards to the stadium work till the .

We would have also had a chance to analyze that how well the players we have bought fit in an where we need to strengthen.

Having said that, if Agger leaves i want a top top CB to be bought now.

We spent £12m on Sturridge and £8m on Courtino, did they turn out to be average.

Two players with a sum of 20mil for Markovic. Lets hope he don't turn out shit. Average to shit is not acceptable. Average to decent is ok. Average to top class well worth it.

Not so worried about the underdog tag after losing Suarez. We are strengthening squad in a big way and will benefit from it. Lets hope that brining in so many players is not counter productive.
