So.. West Brom

What the hell was Lovren up to for that Berahino chance, though? He's cost us a fucking shed load of goals/big chances with moves like that already this season.
I'm getting increasingly concerned by him

Coutinhos form is worrying, I see nothing to keep him ahead of others at them moment

shocking how many touches we have to take these days. At least 2 or 3 sometimes 4, last year it was 1 or 2 and the ball moved SO much more quickly. Coutinho is a shadow of himself.

Hmmm guerss I'm watching a different match to those who thought we were crap again. Ou midfield has generally been very good, Ming has come for balls and I'm happy if he's punching them the distances he has been, and the only two real defensive errors were Skrtel's stupid tackle for a yellow and Lovren ball-watching and losing his man.

Ming - 7
Moreno - 6.5
Lovren - 6.5
Skrtel - 6
Manquillo - 5
Gerrard - 6.5
Henderson 6.5
Lallana - 8
Sterling - 6
Coutinho - 6.5
Lambert - 6

It's interesting to see everyone (Sterling and Coutinho in particular) keep looking ahead for someone to pass to / play off and then just having to stop.

We all knew how much of a part Suarez and Sturridge played in our success but it's quickly becoming very apparent that we're almost wholly reliant on having that sort of player in the side to be able to keep going.

Our strikers aren't runners. Well, Borini is, but he's unfashionable

Ish

He's not really done anything else though.

Least Mario would very double marked

I think a lot of people are missing what Lambert is bringing .. we don't lose possession as much and he brings our plays into the game and keeps the attack ticking over. Balo rarely does that and it puts us on the back foot defending break-aways all the time.

... Balo does that too

I swear, people just seem to have blinkers on.

Balotelli holds the ball up and plays a little selfishly to our detriment at times, Lambert does this less, no ones doubting Balotelli could do this job though, but he was in poor form, so it's fair Lambert got a crack.

True, but Suso is out injured now (groin operation?).
It's been all season though. Coutinho hasn't actually produced anything since the Dortmund game.

Allen, can, Suso etc can't come back soon enough

I don't understand Rodgers seemingly trying to light a fire under balotelli with his comments, only not to play him. It's bizarre
