@Dreambeliever is right, Henderson has been great all season, he's just got even better as the season has gone on.

If he started off being great and he got better as we progressed, shouldn't we be comparing him with Zidane by now?

Just for fun, guess when he got his first assist this season?

November

I saw something in him from day one. He looked nervous as fuck in every match, yet worked his bollocks off, never stopped stepping up or shirked responsibility, & the worst thing that could be levelled at him was his reluctance to try to impose himself on games.

With hindsight it's easy to see why, at first the fee & expectation bothered him & then the marauding, yet by his standards, ineffective, Gerrard playing quite literally where Henderson needed to play, meaning he couldn't try to do what he is best at without stopping on extremely important & we'll respected toes.

However you could see his quality throughout, hence why I stood an argued his corner time & again.

Allen I've done similarly with, cos you can see his quality.

I often compare the two of them with Carrick, Utd fans wrote him off time & again, but his awful form now shows you how much he imposed himself on that Utd midfield the last couple of seasons.

How's the relevant? He's the engine of the midfield and that's been evident for a very long time. The guy gets ridiculous stick because he doesn't do the stand out stuff, but he makes this team work and never stops getting at the other team, and he's been doing that very well for a long time, it's only now that we're flying so high that people are bothering to notice.

It's funny, I never ever saw it when they both first joined, but Allen and Henderson are surprisingly similar players, Allen has a little more technique, Henderson a little more athleticism, but they both play a very similar game, maybe that's Rodgers doing though.

Just looking at our fixtures again, 6 of our last 7 games are on a Sunday.

Ideally I'd like them all at 12:45 on the Saturday, so we could potentially put the pressure on the other teams. I fear it's not going to happen. Just hope we can manage to get second anyway.

Aguero expected to miss their away ties against Arsenal and Man U. I'll take two draws then, although City losing in the derby will be better for us.

Would be great if this didn't turn into another @Mystic 'I told you so about Henderson' thread..

Looking forward to Chelsea - Arsenal. Draw or Arsenal win my preference. Arsenal less of a threat than Chelsea for the top spot. Come on the gunners (Don't let @Silver Sean hear me say that)
