One player who Rodgers said will be involved is 17-year-old midfielderJordan Rossiter. “He will be involved. We’ve got some very good young players you’ll see more of over the next two years.”

Anyone know who this is?

They're doing alright since Lennon took over I think.
Is that Korean winger gone to play the Asian cup?
He's pretty decent.

Is Jay spearing still with them? Should get a warm welcome if he does play.

We'll win because I'm there and I've got an outstanding w3, d1, l1 record at Anfield this season.

@Pesam
Are Bolton much of a threat to us?

They're a strange team Dave, they've underperformed for 3 or 4 years now considering the talent at their disposal. A succession of managers have not got the best out of a talented midfield and some decent forwards and not addressed the obvious weaknesses in the defence (although they finally got rid of the useless Zat Knight last season which was a step in the right direction).

Players like Pratley, Danns, Trotter and Spearing (all CM'ers) are all good solid pros on their day and worse players than them are playing in the EPL at present e.g. Marney, Brunt, Karl Henry, Hammond etc. Width has been a problem for Bolton for quite some time, Chung-Yung Lee is very good but injury prone and I notice he hasn't played for them over the last month (maybe he's at the Asian games?). Liam Feeney on the other wing is poor by Championship standards. Invariably they end up playing one (and sometimes two) of their CM'er out wide which makes them rather impotent as an attacking force.

Up front, I've always quite liked Craig Davies, he's a good target man, strong in the air, quite quick, physical and packs a lotta power in his boots. I haven't seen Heskey or Gudjohnsen play for Bolton since their recent arrivals.

Defensively they've been shocking for ages and none of them are good enough for a team that aspires to be promoted from this division. The only word of caution though is they're all big lads and I can see them causing us problems if they get a few corners or free kicks..............Mills, Wheater and Davies are all very strong in the air and Pratley and Heskey are good too.

With home advantage I can't see us struggling as long as we don't rest too many of our "star turns", I can't see their defence keeping us out if we hit them with pace and I can't see them scoring more than one goal. If we pick a decent 11 we should win this by at least 2 or 3 clear goals.

Lots of people rested please - i'd also like to keep Stevie fresh for Tuesday but I don't think he'll miss any FA Cup games.

...........Markovic........Sterling........Lallana..................

3 big guys at the back to counter their big guys at set pieces. Pace up front is essential because their midfield is hard-working and they will try and cut down the space between the back 4 and midfield unit.

This gives Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho and Lucas a rest and we can swap Sterling for Borini and Can for Rossiter in the 2nd half if the game is going well.

I doubt thats true, but Can at CCB would be odd, surely more likely for Sakho at CCB and Johnson at LCB?

Writing is on the wall for Lovren if Glen fucking Johnson gets a spot in a back 3 ahead of you.

I think I'd rather we got knocked out, we've got enough to worry about with the EL and chasing the top 4.

I certainly wouldn't be playing many first teamers.

I'd play anyone up front but sterling. Keep him fresh for the semi.
