Except, we don't really do we? Had we lost yesterday, I'm the postometer would have gone though the roof. Totally outplay and beat the second best team in the league, and nobody's arsed. Okay, slight exaggeration, but it certainly feels that way.

Hah! Well spotted!
Losing tends to generate considerably more negative traffic. No idea why though.

Losing tends to generate considerably more negative traffic. No idea why though.

Humans tend to go out and do something when they're happy. And they tend to stay in and take out their anger on strangers when they're unhappy. That will explain most of the missing traffic.

The rest comes down to when we win, everyone is in unilateral agreement that things are positive so there's nothing to say after one or two posts. When we don't win, the reasonable people change their view to be more negative, and some irrational idiots maintain their annoying positivity in the face of each humiliating defeat. That leads to argument. Humans tend not to concede defeat in an argument, so the post counts grow exponentially.

That is until some smart arse cunt points out that the post count is lower when we win, in order to insinuate that other people are not as good as a fan as he is. That in itself might lead to argument and can kick-start the post count.

the atmosphere at the ground looked good.

I imagine no one on here is bouncing because we all know we turn up against top teams, unfortunately we all also know we seem to struggle* against any side that wants to sit
back.

*that's probably being kind

Thing is during the seventies and eighties when we were winning everything it was pretty boring as far as digesting performance as we were pretty limited on constructive criticism

Don't worry someone will be along shortly to point out Firmino didn't score again yesterday 😀

Great game from us. Pressed as a unit... run our socks off. Great intersection play involving many players and plenty movement!! A good response. The guys deserves Credit.

I don't get why some of you fellas find it such a mystery that there's less traffic on here when we win, especially when we win as convincingly as we did yesterday. There's a lot more to analyse and debate when things don't go well. Ain't no thang.

I think this is it, it's the predictability of it. We knew we'd be up for it, but it's infuriating because you know the next time we play a mid to bottom of the table side, we'll lose.

It's always been the case for the most part.

Either way, I'm finding there isn't really much to discuss these days.

The team as a whole and the players individually are known quantities and it's all been done to death.

We know we can play well against the top 6. We were doing it before Klopp arrived and he's built on that and improved that record further. We also know that all the intensity, sharpness and focus is just as likely to disappear against a lesser team in the next game.

It was a great game yesterday and very satisfying to watch. We really needed that win and thankfully we got it.

I'll hold off on jumping for joy though.

I think a lot of fans are just bitterly disappointed that a season where we thought for so long we'd be in the hunt for the title til April at least is in fact dead and buried in Jan.

We are all in a state of acceptance and even beating Spurs doesn't really help the mood too much

Well speak for your fucking selves. My mood is cool. I'm pumped! I love where this team is going. Mane was a big miss. He's back. Let the good times roll!

Even when we're 5 up with 20 to go we just sit still and wait.

I think we have to accept this is how it is in the modern era with fans attending games...the majority just attend to watch the game and happily enough going to the pub after.

Agree with what's already been said. There's nothing to shout about at the moment we've just won a big game after a bit of a nose dive that's taken us out of the title race.

We played exactly like we did earlier in the season but we've seen how fragile that system can be depending on injuries, fitness and the opposition tactics. So I'd guess there's a definite hesitation to become excited knowing we might be watching us lose to a parked bus next week.

Much needed victory for the fans as much as the team though, it has been torture watching us recently.

You are pumped that we have gone from 1st to 5th in 10 weeks?
Yeah man. I just live for optimism. I also care more about less mundane things than the footy. Things like rugby and cricket over footy. Try not to judge me too harshly. I do like everyone here though. I do know that me and you are kindred spirits (in a way) - You know man. You don't have to be an uber fan to voice an opinion. It's not RAWK after all. 😉

It's not beating the likes of Spurs that's the issue though is it? I bet most of us would have predicted a win on Saturday.

Ah yes. Those insightful and strong analysis and debates here when things goes wrong.....

Way to miss the point, which is that there's a lot more to discuss - however much insight may be lacking in the process - when we've had a bad result.

What gets me is how some folks try to put a cloud round the silver lining:

We won & got back into top 4 ... but Utd are only 1 point behind us
We played brilliant ... why couldn't we play like that against Hull?
Mane is a superb signing ... shame on LFC for not signing two Manes

Enjoy the win & look forward to a bright & rosy future.

Agreed and we were good in two out of the five games in January, should have beaten Utd and we were better than Chelsea. In fact we refs cost us 4 points in January too. Glass half full for me.
