Liverpool have agreed to let Jonjo Shelvey join Blackpool on loan, skysports.com understands.

A number of clubs have been looking at 19-year-old Shelvey, who joined the Reds last year from Charlton Athletic.

He has now made over 15 Premier League appearances for the Anfield outfit, but Kenny Dalglish has not used him in the top-flight this season.

Daglish has now agreed to let Shelvey go out on loan and it is understood he is heading for Bloomfield Road.

A number of Championship clubs were looking at the England Under-21 midfielder, but Blackpool have won the race for his services.

He will join former Liverpool team-mates Thomas Ince and Gerardo Bruna with Ian Holloway's side after they moved on permanent deals this summer.

It seems both Kenny and other premiership managers don't think he is (yet) else he'd be getting game time for us or would have previously been the object of premiership loan bids (I can't recall any).

I've said before that many seem to project qualities onto him, because based upon the sub appearances he's made, saying he's better than championship level seems a tad hopeful. He's neither come on and changed the course of a game or stood out in any way to me. Moreover he's hardly torn it up at reserve level when he's played there.

A season in the Championship seems about right. I couldn't see him regularly starting for any premiership clubs right now.
 
i just dont understand why he seemed to be getting a fair few games under kenny, only for him to now decide that he doesnt need him cause he's got lucas and fatty adam......at least he'll be getting games i guess, he'll play really well, come back and be boss in pre-season then we'll sell him for abaa £100, he's like an english aqua
