My fave African Cup moment was from about 2002, a penalty shoot out in the Final. As a bloke walked up to take his kick, his team-mates were behind him linking arms in a real show of solidarity. Apart from one bloke on the end who was having a ciggy.

Ghana are through to the semi's after beating Cape Verde 2-0 earlier. Cape Verde's fairytale run is over. Ghana to play winners of tomorrow's 2nd game,Togo v Burkina Faso.
SA v Mali 1-0 (ht). Pleasantly surprised with our boys. Already exceeded most peoples expectations and looking good for a semi final spot, although if they do they'll play the winners of tomorrow's 1st game, Ivory Coast or Nigeria. That should be a cracker of a game between 2 African powerhouses.

LTW - Too much of instability with administration since '96. First half today was good, nice high tempo play, good pressing. 2nd half we let them get back into the game and silly defensive error gave Mali their goal.
There are some talented lads there but on a whole, you're right. Nowehere near as talented as the teams of the late 90's.
