Sakho

We shouldn't be surprised.

Anything that makes it more likely for Lucas Leiva to stay at Liverpool club will almost always happen.

Sakho must have done something else that hasnt been reported in the media.

I thought at first many were claiming the media reports were exaggerated, and the real reason he was sent home from pre-season was to treat his injury?

Now they've been underplaying it, and there's MORE nefarious misdemeanours that have been unreported.

Or maybe it's all happened exactly as reported, and Klopp just doesn't rate him, or like him.

He had some very complimentary things to say about Sakho when he first arrived, so I don't think it's as simple as that last bit.

However, the combo of Sakho's reported behaviour on tour and the previous fat-burner business would be enough to naff many managers off.

Why would you turn down a move to West Brom only to then go to Sunderland?

Was the West Brom offer reported by anyone decent?

If he was a brilliant, reliable defender, I'm sure Klopp would have made some allowances.

Anyway, I'm no fan of Sakho, never have been, so I'm not that arsed, but an £18m defender being set on loan when our own resources are so sparse does seem another odd Klopp decision.

I've got the inside scoop.

Sakho and Balo sent @StevieM a box of Southern Tayto. As everyone knows Klopp is a solid, decent guy and loves the superior Northern Tayto. Once he found out he realised they both have to asap.

I'm assuming that Klopp feels that Midfielders can cover defensive positions. Milner, Lucas, Can & Henderson are the more likely options.

I used a similar approach on FM and various computer games.

Whilst this may work for the odd game... its fucking dumb.

Those are exactly the type of clubs where he would shine with Long balls being played up front and no passing from the back 4 which is where Sakho looks like iambi on ice

I don't blame him. Stoke or WBA. A season in Stoke with Mark Hughes the joy vampire or a season with Tony Pulis barking in your ear. I guess if there's an injury crisis he might get a chance to claw himself back into favour, but otherwise he's doomed.

I for one feel a lot happier knowing he's here to call on if required. Very short at the back imo.

The more I think about it, the more I think Sakho is actually shit. He has more bad games than good ones. His cult hero status amongst our fanbase makes me cringe as well.

That said it is a bit surprising we're willing to turf him out on loan considering we're not overloaded with centre backs.

Klopp must surely feel Gomez isn't far away from returning.

Not necessarily. He's fouled his own nest pretty comprehensively off the field with that fat-burner stuff and his antics on tour. Sometimes managers want rid of players who behave like that regardless of the consequences. I'd want Balotelli out of LFC even if all our other strikers broke their legs at once.

Stoke don't really play like that these days.

They have just got Bruno Martins Indi instead. He's a ball playing CB/LB.
