I'm surprised anyone is still defending Mignolet at this point. He doesn't remotely look up to the job of being a big club keeper, just in terms of personality. That's before you get to any more technical problems.

He'll be gone by this time next year.

When Gary Neville provides a telling critique of Ming's technical performance, you know the time is long overdue for a proper goalkeeping coach to come in.

This. Just looked over some stats re Ming. His save percentage is down 10-12 % this season since moving from Sunderland.
He also had more cleans sheets for Sunderland pr season then for us last season.

I have serious issues with him as a GK but our goalkeeping coach should be under some serious review.
Reina increased his saves percentage with about 10 % when he left for Napoli.
We're just not very good..

I don't think it's that bad a thing, that our players get pissed off about not playing.

Obviously, you don't want him storming out all the time, and he should be left out again because of it, but I imagine when he does get back into the team, we'll see a better player, he'll have something to prove.

I don't see him going in January.

Hope your right. I like him and think he's got a future here.

That's a good point and he does get more harshly criticised as a result of looking awkward on te ball, but he has made mistakes and dismissing them because a goal wasn't scored is a poor way of looking at things because it relies on other factors.

The bottom line with Sakho is he's not been nowhere as good as you would hope for £17M. The same is true of Lovren. They both need to get it together.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, none of our central defenders have been what we had hoped for. I just think he gets a harsher wrap (I have a mate who slates him constantly, regardless of playing well or not) because he doesn't look as fluid or technically proficient as the others, despite having despite ball retention.

My issue is people slating him, for the reasons I've said above, even though he actually does look solid defensively the majority of the time he plays. Skrtel's aberrations are overlooked a lot of the time, and Lovren rightly needs time for one to form an opinion on.

I think Sakho has as much potential as the others have/had, but being in and out of the team, as well as harsh criticism, are never going to do him any favours. I hope he doesn't leave because I've seen what he can do for France, PSG, and at times for us, and I think he and Lovren could form a really strong partnership.

Yep, exactly.

Plus, I'd be peeved if I was him getting dropped as regularly as he does, when others around him seem to be performing no better than he is, but still get favoured. It's a shame.

This happened to Skrtel last year and he manned up.
