I'm in debited to Klopp for bringing in Mane this summer that is. I can't believe the start this kid has had - and the difference he has made to the Liverpool attack. Just brilliant. You can see the aggression and the arrogance in his face. Just the sort of player we needed - and not one of us called it beforehand. Great bit of business.

It's so nice seeing the opposition shit themselves everytime he gets the ball. We haven't had that since, well, Suarez.

Yeah I wasn't too optimistic about this signing - especially when looking at the fee - but he's blown everyone he's come up against out of the water so far. So, so much better than I was expecting.

I've heard he's a streaky player, though. Apparently he can go through long stretches of looking lacklustre. I'm hoping that might be an age thing, as well as him playing with (supposedly) lesser players. If he can play at this level consistently, then he'd be on his way to being world class.

And I actually thought he wasn't quite at the races at times yesterday. Few heavy touches and wrong choices in and around the box. Still showed his class and ended up with a goal and an assist.

I'm not sure it makes someone a bellend for thinking that one player costing only £7m more when he's been significantly more successful and well, better over his career makes them a bellend.

I've said for a few weeks now that I love how direct he is. Everything he does has a purpose. One of my biggest frustrations with Firmino...until yesterday...is that he can be full of tricks which look nice but lead to nothing. Mane's got that edge...Suarez has it and so too, to be fair, did Firmino yesterday.

One thing I noticed with him yesterday though which I said before he was subbed the other week is that he does seem to misplace passes a little too much for my liking. Brilliant at everything else, but just needs to place his passes a little better when not under pressure.

So was I. And as the OP, the arrogance which the lad has is the key difference between most of the signings from lower-down-the-table teams who simply seemed overwhelmed by Anfield.

Like most players, he may need to work on his first touche and passing under pressures. And that can be coached-- Torres being a case in point.

I love the fact that he's clearly not come here to fuck about. He looks fucking pumped every time he's played so far. That attitude coupled with his electric pace and great form has made him a joy to watch. Have to say, love this guy so far.

I didn't think he'd be a transformative player for us and was wary of us spending 30M on him. We needed pace and he was able to give us that but we needed more than just pace and so far he's giving it to us. Looking pretty good value for the money we paid so far.

It's not quite a fair comparison – Mane is in his prime, he should be a better player this season. I like all 3 of Mane, Sane and Dembele but the latter two are more for the future.
