For those in the know, he's up there with the likes Pele, Diego.

Seemed like a player beyond his time and age. RIP

Watched an interesting doco on him a year or two back. The dude was fucking insanely good.

Sometimes you hear these old names and just assume they were some slow, 4-day-long-stepover merchant. Glad I watched the show cos he was ridiculously good, and seemed like a thoroughly decent bloke too.

That Real team was insane - the fact he stood out as a star in probably history's greatest ever club team says a lot.
