If we were banned from buying academy players up to last summer it surely can't be us that are investigated for false dealings with academy players…. We can't be that daft?

I hope not.

Interesting question though: given the state of the current squads, if the 5 clubs involved were us, chelsea, city, united and spurs would this be beneficial to us or not?

I think yes

The news said there are 4 more premier League clubs under investigation for similar reasons.

I wouldn't be laughing too much yet

Would be great if it was United, Tottenham, Man City, and Arsenal.

Although it is definitely going to be us, isn't it.

they will appeal.. that means the suspension is suspended until the end of an appeal hearing/ process

Likely that will be dragged out till after the next transfer window.. they will then get a reduction in the ban.. which will see them only be banned for the january transfer window..

That is usually how these things work..

How could it not make a difference between buying ready made world class players vs calling back young players on loan?

I see your point, but they have gone from buying De Bruyne, Salah and Hazard to buying Drinkwater, Barkley and Morata . Så Maybe they actually become better if they stop buying ready made "world class" players.

They weren’t ready made world class players. Unless you think they’re completely satisfied with recent purchases and would continue doing the same. Weird.

Well they are the players they have invested their big money on lately. And known to be changing manager every 15 month it is nothing indicating they will be any wiser going forward?

How many big name signings have they got right In the last 3 years?

It’s only two windows and they have some superb players out on loan.

And why did they send them out on loan in the first place? Because they didnt perform.
Its all well and good having 300 players out on loan but they shipped them out cause they couldnt even get into the team.

Chelsea are fucked next season if Hazard goes.

That might be the case at most clubs but Chelsea have been sending out top class players that are good enough for years.

If they are forced to play the likes of Kennedy I think it could be a blessing in disguise.

They certainly look in trouble overall though which is great.
