okay, then that's fair enough, my opinion of riise is based purely on his final season here, an in form riise is obviously going to be a better option than arbeloa, I had no idea he had regained his form, I neither watch nor have any interest in italian football.

I cannot stand it when players and managers who have done great things for the club are afforded zero respect upon leaving, and are instead abused and called "shit" or "cunt". It's wrong.

With regards to Konchesky i think it's a good buy. I actually rate him quite highly. Good solid dependable full back and the only reason people dont rate him is because he's not been at a top club. Some players dont get the break they maybe deserve. Hope he signs, id love to see how he gets on.

At the end of the day, Konchesky is a damn sight better than anyone we currently have for that position and he should be relatively cheap, so all things considered it will be a good move.

Nonsense! I have watched Konchesky many times over the years and am very unimpressed. I have watched Darren Pratley of Swansea (Championship footballer) and am quite convinced he's good enough for a top 4 team in the EPL.

That went through my mind, but I dismissed it because Carlton Cole does have the advantage that he is big and strong. N'gog does have some talent, but he has the physicality of a butterfly which won't get you anywhere in the Premier League.
