Jovanovic 5 Blunt
Maxi 3 Ineffectual

Gerrard 4 Struggled

Pepe: 10. The best goalie everywhere except his home country.

Carra, Konchesky: 7. Both solid, safe & secure.

Torres, Johnson, Poulsen: 0. Pathetic, all of them.

Meireles: Not long enough to rate, but we became instantly better.

The rest of them: Anywhere from 2 to 5. Not good enough.

I'm holding on to this lone bright spot.

Konchesky put in an effective display, but that was immediately shattered by the injury news. How long is he going to be out?

No further match comments neccessary, but ratings are as follows:

Reina (9) - a majestic display. Would have been 3-0 without Pep.

Carra (5) - he made a couple of errors that could have cost us, which has knocked a point off his score, but wasn't given much help by Skittles.
Skittles (3) - horrendous. He was hopeless challenging in the air, and when he did make contact, it flew off at all angles, because he's got a head like a fucking pine-cone dipped in vaseline. Distribution was appalling.
Konch (6) - decent, solid display. Let one or two crosses come in from the left, but overall our best defender.
Magic (4) - he made his usual few bursting runs and was our only threat from the flanks, but he looked ponderous and dim-witted in defence. Almost like he was a bit pissed or something. Looks big aswell, and not in a good way.

Jova (5). Ordinary. He made a coupel of meandering runs, but always came in from the flank, and doesn't really look that comfortable out on the wing. Perhaps because he isn't a winger.
Cunt 1 (3). Another pallid, ineffectual cunt of a display from Lucarse, who is a truly abysmal player. He did fuck all except pass sideways or backwards, showed no speed of body or mind, didn't make himself available and simply chased the opposition around like an 8 year old special needs kid who has been allowed to be play with the big boys in the park
Cunt 2 (3). Dear oh dear. Crapsen was equally as shit as his disabled midfield partner; he's slow as fuck and showed no bite or appetite for a battle. Looks a Championship player at best. Robbie Savage is a better player. The sooner he fucks off the better.
Maxi (3). So where are allthe divs who want this clown to play ahead of Kuyt? A lumbering passenger. Shite.

Gerrard (6). He was largely a frustrated figure, but was the only outfield attacking player to show any drive or desire to win. Deserves better than this team, these owners, and this manager.
Torres (4). way below par. He had one or two decent runs, but was starved of service from the dross on the wings and the two cunts in midfield. That doesn't excuse his demenaour.

Hodgeson (4). Budgie-faced old loser.

I actually reckon Brendans ratings are spot on. Not all of his comments are though.

I've obviously not written off Poulsen just yet as he's only ever played two games in the Premier League and I've decided that new players should at least be given ten games before judgement day. Elleven even if I'm in good mood.

Anyone could see somehting happened as soon as Raul entered the pitch yesterday and it wasn't only because he made some great touches but even more so because it meant Gerrard moved further back and we suddenly had a player in the center of the park making a lot of daunting runs freeing up space and keeping defenders busy.

Poulsen did look marginally better in that period and even hit a few good passes. He's limited in the sense of the word that he's not particularly fast so he really needs movement around him in comparison with Masher who's the far more mobile player.

I really hope we'll see Poulsen alongside Gerrard and Raul in the center of the park soon as I believe that could indeed work out rather well.

Back for United.

I think that's harsh Brendan. Was he poor? Yup, no one can argue that. Are you going to say he's shit despite the good games he put together last season? Nah, you're not really. And let's be honest, considering how often Dirk is a passenger (maxi 'worked hard' too), it's not that bad. We haven't had 'decent' wingers in fuck knows how long. I wish we had a proper winger.

Even when he's off form, Kuyt imposes himself more on a match - defensively, Maxi was a non-entity.

I've said it before, he'd be fine in a quick-passing team high on confidence, but given we're the exact opposite of that at the moment, I'd rather have someone capable of attacking on their own - cf Babel, Pacheco or Kuyt.

He'd be great for Arsenal. Unfortunately, in our pedestrian side we need players who go looking for the ball, instead we have 5 or 6 who stand there waiting for the ball to come to them. When it does they're usually that fucking surprised they give it straight back to the opposition!

Yah I guess

Many of our players would be better with more movement around them - the problem is all of them are shit at offering decnt movement to each other.

We need either Meireles to come in straight away and perform, or put Gerrard back at CM.
