And what went on at Rangers is nothing like what Tom & George did.

I remember sitting at Anfield when two LFC bellends were attempting to have a "flag off". One with an Irish flag and one with a red hand flag. They got put straight. No place at Anfield for that. We've had some Northern Irish nobs in the King Harry wearing LFC tops pissed as arseholes cheering Rangers on the last game of the season last year waving their red hand flag round and making people edgy. The atmosphere was getting tense at one point.this is LFC fans with each other ! They had that flag pinned up on the wall of the Harry the day before as they were staying there until I'd walked in a told the girl running place it would cause trouble and took it down . Cheeky cunts. Took our This Is Anfield flag down to put that piece of antagonistic shite up. Don't get me wrong here either, I think both sides are as bad as each other. It's pathetic legacy bullshit that people need to move on from and has no place in football and certainly not football so no thanks Rangers. If they come Celtic will soon follow as well too.

Unfortunately there's some bigoted knobs in this country that happen to support Liverpool hence all that shit you mentioned.

The vast majority whether Catholic or Protestant support the team and that's it. I know because i travel over with alot of them to go to the games.

Of course I know that Gary. People are of course entitled to their opinions no matter how narrow minded but I just don't think bringing that nonsense into an arena where it's not really understood or welcomed is wide of the mark. Leave the baggage at home so to speak.

I agree completely, they're just bellends trying to get one over on the other side - it's pretty sad and childish. Hopefully won't see shit like that again.

I'm sure the majority of people on all sides really couldn't be arsed with all the bullshit over something that's a legacy of events that occurred centuries ago.

Defo. Things have improved over the years but there'll always be bitterness amongst some. People can't let go and move on.

Thing is, these kind of incidents really don't do the country any favours and people can just steroetype and assume every Irish person is like that.
 
Nah, I don't think most people think of Irish North or South people that way. My personal experiences of Belfast and Galway ( only place Ive been in Eire) have been positive ones. Apart from the customer in Belfast who were complete nobheads most of the people I've met have been normal people. Well, relatively normal
 
What a stupid bunch (both sets of fans), but it'll be sad to see Rangers go.
