Off topic, but I noticed when listening to Fergie today that Rafa's English is probably easier to understand than his.
A bit off topic, but Slur reprimanded Evans today:
I remember Ian St. John telling a Shankly story...
some player was deemed too small so Bill & Bob made him eat steaks to fill him out.
A while later (looking much bigger) he comes back and says to Bill he needs some time off or something as he's getting married. A shocked Shankly asks why, and he replies he has to as his girlfriend's pregnant.
"Bloody hell Bob, we've created a monster!" says Bill.

i feel honoured. apologies for the late response but some of us work for a living.
lucas clearly should not play but more than likely will
even rafa will have realised that playing aurelio in midfield next to lucas is madness
every time we have played anyone half decent our weakness in centre midfield has led to gerrard and torres being isolated. gerrard then comes looking for the ball leaving torres even more isolated.
reina, and johnson clearly start with johnson being told to get forward in a more reserved manner
drop skertel and play agger next to carra (we all know carra won't be dropped but just so we all know i'd give him a slap and tell him to start to trust the player next to him) i would prefer agger because he can bring the ball out. this is more important than last season where the norm was to pass the ball two yards to alonso.
infact i'm not keen on rafa's veiled criticism of alonso by talking about how aquaman plays further up the pitch when without alonso playing as deep as he did most of our attacks would never have been built last season.
i would play aurelio ahead of insua. aurelio is the better left back.
masch should play alongside gerrard. the only time lucas has looked half decent this season is when gerrard has carried him playing next to him in centre midfield. masch should start and gerrard should take the place of that inept fake brazilian.
riera on the left, yossi in the hole where he is far more effective and dirk on the right. none of this dirk second striker bollocks or yossi on the left where he is shit.
torres on fire upfront.
oh and between now and then sort our fucking set piece defending out and get yossi and aurelio on corners, gerrard can practice heading the ball in the box or picking up loose balls and bashing them into the top corner
now what of that does anyone really disagree with?

I strongly disagree with playing Agger. He's played one reserve game over the last couple months, coming off surgery.

i'm not a believer in the control freak approach of rafa. play our best players in their best positions, keep things tight and try to take the game to them whenever possible. we know how to play against chelsea the question is whether we play the right players who have the capability to play against them. tactics are irrelevant if you play shite players or players out of position.
we haven't lost the games we have because of the absence of a teamtalk.
why won't rafa play gerrard in central midfield when yossi is a very capable player behind torres? why won't that waste of space lucas get dropped? agger has successfully come through a reserve game, its not unusual to play a player after this process.
