YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted Stoke relegated. This will do.

Local rag in Stoke currently has this detailed story on it: http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.u...tory-19045438-detail/story.html#axzz2TvrHu4GU

Glad he's gone as think he's an utter bellend (lots of the Stoke fans have been coming round to this way of thinking over the last 18 months as well) but whoever takes over will have an awful set of footballers (and I use the term very loosely) to work with. Think they'll be a good bet for relegation next season now

Think it could prove to be a big mistake by stoke. can't stand their football, but Pullis has kept them in the premiership year after year. They'll bring in someone who will more likely change the way they play and i can't see it working at stoke.

This was from an article posted by Rosco yesterday.

Tony Pulis

This season Stoke were supposed to make a great leap forward. Or was that last season? Pulis has been promising for a while that he would add a new dimension to his team's play, adding a little more unpredictability to their admirable ruggedness. But you get the feeling that he never really meant it or just couldn't bring himself to loosen up enough to create or attack, especially away, where Stoke were routinely contemptibly negative. To have a greater net spend on transfers than anyone other than Chelsea and Manchester City over the past five years and end up with a right flank manned by Andy Wilkinson and Ryan Shotton is to confess to an extraordinarily limited vision.

The club secretary just been interviewed on SSN now.

Stoke are trying to be bigger than they are. Surviving in the premiership is a successful season for Stoke. At least with Pullis they knew they were always safe. Their style is shit but it works. At least with Pullis it was a safe bet to survive.

Stoke: Have played a higher % of their passes long (19.2%) & won more aerial duels (3176) than any other PL team over the past 4 seasons

Stoke: Since promotion to the PL in 2008, Stoke have scored 0.99 goals per game; the fewest of all teams in the top flight for 3+ seasons

Next Stoke Manager: 3/1 Di Matteo, 13/2 Mark Hughes, 15/2 Gus Poyet, 10/1 Steve Bould, 10/1 P Neville, 14/1 R Benitez

Can't see Rafa going there. All the other managers would change their style and with the players they have i can't see it working. I reckon they'll be battling relegation next season.

Tony Pulis leaving Stoke City will mean that Brendan Rodgers will be 6th longest serving manager in the Premier League on 353 days.

That's less than a yr!

Amazing stat: with Fergie, Moyes & Pulis going, all the 91 other clubs in the league have changed a manager since Arsenal last won a trophy

Personally, I'm loving all these managerial changes. Instability is all around us, about time we capitalize on it. Looking forward to playing a proper game of football with Stoke - and handily beating them both times next season. Pulis to Everton is a good shout too; surely he'll be the one to drag them down to a relegation battle. Everton and Pulis, where shithouse meets alehouse tactics.

I don't like the guy, but seriously, they are in better shape now than they've been since the 50s! Not giving him another season seems remarkable. But I agree it all good for us, the instability all over the place. And I imagine he'll be on the sunshine bus to Everton quick smart.
