Final game of the season.

Will we? Could we?

All that matters for us is winning this and ensuring we have no final day regrets. The atmosphere will be highly correlated to the score at the Etihad - if we get wind that it is anything other that 2+ goal lead to City I think we'll be buzzing. If that gets out I can sense a flat stadium.

Line up wise - hard to know who is back. I think we'll only use players who started yesterday or were on the bench (excl. Trent).

--------------Alisson--------------
Trent--Matip--Konate--Robbo
--------Hendo--Thiago----------
--------------Keita-----------------
--Diaz------Bobby-------Jota---

Presuming we'll see Mane back on the bench (or maybe he'll come straight back in up top), but struggling to see Mo or Virgil starting. Fabs may be on the bench (happy Froggy?! 😀)

Klopp likes to spring a surprise on us. I wouldn't rule out one of Virg or Salah starting.

All we can do is win and hope. I'm just glad we took it to the final game and made them win it out.

I hope Mo can at least make it into the bench. Feels like it's been too long since he scored, would prefer him to shake that off before we play Madrid.

If he's on bench he'll defo come on with an eye on the golden boot

Klopp has to go full strength and then sub players off if/when it's done (either City are 2-3 up or we are).

VvD, Fabs and Mo to come on as subs.

Much happier thanks Brizz 😀

I think we may see as close to the team for the final. This team seems to drop performance if we have too much of a break. If Mo is fit enough for the bench then he’ll be fit enough for the start. Van Dijk will be on the bench as I think he will be sound having a few weeks between games.

Alisson
Alexander Arnold
Matip
Konate
Robertson
Fabinho
Thiago
Henderson
Salah
Mané
Diaz

The front 3 all to come off if we are winning by 2 or more.

Bobby for Mane, and Origi/Minamino for Diaz... Rest Mo, Mane and Diaz for Real, we have enough fire power to deal with Wolves without them

Dont want some of our first teamers to have 14 days off before the CL final.
Start the best, fit and available players.
No need to manage minutes 6 days before the final and with a weeks rest.

Agree with Hansern.

We only have 2 games left, if the key players are fit then play them.

We have to win, nothing else matters

Obviously if we or Shitty are 4 goals up then sub the key ones off.

That’ll do for me

I’m dreaming about what happens here with this and the shitty game with Stevie..
I have a few more days of dreams 😀

Don't think City will drop points, and don't want too invest too heavily emotionally in it.

I would like Origi to have an Anfield farewell, a chance for the crowd to thank Minamino, a welcome back for Elliot and another epic Anfield night for Bobby. Maybe Curtis can practise his decision making skills too.

Diaz and Jota to come on in the 80th minute to try and score the equaliser, and/or win the game. No stress, just good vibes and a rousing send off to Paris.

Things to look out from the guardian

Will City pay penalty on final day?

This season’s final-day title battle will have an air of familiarity as Manchester City look to pip Liverpool to the post for the third time in the last decade. Steven Gerrard will be in the opposition dugout at the stadium where the greatest finale of all played out 10 years ago. Folklore is in the air, but Pep Guardiola might feel frustrated that it has come to this. City could have few complaints with their draw at West Ham, digging in to rescue a vital point after a disastrous first half – but had Riyad Mahrez scored his late penalty, Liverpool would have been left needing snookers. Lukasz Fabianski’s fine save should not be overlooked, but the outcome highlights a curious weakness in Guardiola’s attacking machine. In the six seasons since he took charge, City have scored 34 of 50 spot-kicks awarded – the worst conversion rate among the ‘big six’ clubs. Even Sergio Agüero was guilty of the odd aberration but since his departure, Guardiola has struggled to settle on a penalty taker. Erling Haaland will bring a 92% success rate with him next season, but for now, City fans will hope another late spot-kick is not required. NMc

Wolves bid to bite back at Anfield

While much of the attention will be focused on a certain match 36 miles down the M62, it is imperative that Liverpool’s players beat Wolves so they can capitalise on any slip-ups by Manchester City against Aston Villa and win the title courtesy of what would be a seismic final-day overhaul. It was courtesy of a late mugging that Liverpool won the points in the corresponding fixture at Molineux in December, with Divock Origi winning it four minutes into added time, sparking wild celebrations among his teammates. Wolves may have nothing but wounded pride to play for on Sunday, but revenge will be on their minds and is a dish famously best served cold. A similarly spirited rearguard action from Bruno Lage’s men on Merseyside could cause plenty of problems. BG

Just assume that City has won 5-0, and play our own game.
Why would you for the 1st time this season decide that the result doesn't matter, when week after week we've churned out results knowing we can't afford to lose ?

We must concentrate on winning our match, knowing that it could bring us the league.

I wouldnt even start Thiago in this one. Leave him up our sleeve in case. He's become such a crucial player, that we cant be without him against Real.

After seeing Klopps comments I dont think Salah gets risked. Maybe from the bench but not starting.
Maybe Virgil sits this one out as well.

Origi was a game changer against them in the away game, I wonder if we consider starting him to get right amongst it from the start.

Sounds from Klopp's talk that Mo & Virgil will be on the bench. Let's keep Mo as a pinch hitter and start Diaz, Mane & Jota.
