No Szobo with suspension. I suspect Diaz started over Darwin if Jota not ready yet. Gakpo has earned his place. I’d go for

Alisson

Trent
Gomez
Virgil
Tsimikas (rest Robbo for United)

Gravy
Macca
Jones

Salah
Jota
Gakpo

We won 5-1 earlier in the year with Endo in mid so Slot could be brave and keep Gravy safe from missing United game.

If Gravy has the threat of suspension I would not play him. Watching Man U earlier he would absolutely destroy them. Endo should be enough to beat a tragic West Ham.

If we can get minutes in the legs of Konate that would be boss.

Tsimikas should start. Diaz too considering he didn’t play tonight. Save Gakpo for Man U.

Ali
Trent
Konate
VVD
Tsimikas
Endo
Jones
Mac
Salah
Jota
Diaz

Yep I'd leave Gravy out of this one too. I'd actually give Tsimi another 30/35 versus West Ham and have him versus Man Utd.

Alisson

Trent
Gomez
Virgil
Robertson

Endo
Macca
Jones

Gakpo
Diaz
Salah

This team bar Diaz for Jota. Diaz a cert to start.

Yeah Diaz will definitely start. Think Jota will get his first start too.

West Ham are a weirdo team - they worry me - I know we have won at their ground quite a bit in recent years - but I feel uncomfortable with no Szobo - he provides impetus and drive in the team when we need it - more so than Jones. But Jones has a good record against them, I am not sure Endo can take us through this game without Grav. I think Grav will definitely start - coz I believe we could beat United at home, with Mac/Jones/Szobo if we have to.

Antonio was always the one that bothered me, but he's out and so is Soucek

One of the most in form teams actually.

No they’re not.

Last 5 games Villa, Fulham, Bournemouth, Forest and Newcastle are all in better form….and that’s before you get to teams like us, Arsenal and Chelsea.

They beat Southampton today after looking 2nd best, needed a pen to get a point at Bournemouth in a game they should’ve been about 4 down in, beat Wolves (big deal - Everton beat them 4-0) and before that took back to back hammerings against Leicester and Arsenal.

Opponent's form is irrelevant. Every team tries that 20% extra when facing us. Even Leicester's third choice keeper turns up.

If we play like we can, we are unstoppable.

One of not the most in form team. From where they were a month ago they are doing very well. From back to back hammerings to unbeaten in 4 with 2 wins and 2 draws scoring in every game.

They beat Southampton and Wolves, and drew with Bournemouth and Brighton?

Bowen is in form and our left back is not, so Tsimi has to start this for me.

The rest of their team is shit. Kilman also got injured and he’s their best CB. I really rate him.

The good thing about Gomez being so good these games is we can more safely rotate him in with the CBs too, knowing we’ll need to avoid overplaying Ibu

No. 10th on form table for last 6.

We can all cherry pick a time frame. West ham aren't good, and if we don't win then it's a failing on our part, rather than them being good

Original point was they are in their best form. It’s about context and may not be relevant. Away game in London and over a busy period for us, if we can play to our level then we should be good.
