Pre match: Man Utd vs Liverpool

What’s with this casual approach - did we not think Utd would be “up for it”?

Most of us did. Klopp/FSG never though. Just like when all 3 of our centre backs died that year
Wait for the response .... yeah but we almost won the quad last season with this lot, and we only lost the league by a point. We must be great blah blah bollox

Things we learned today:

1) TAA is a problem defensively when we're not on top of teams. This needs a solution - be it a replacement for Hendo to cover for him, or he moves to midfield
2) Hendo is lacking the ability to influence games.
3) Milner is a step too slow for this level now.
4) Firmino is a finished entity and it's a pity his minutes cannot go to Taki or Divock now, who were both contributing more last year in their bit part roles.
5) Salah has started this season much like he played since AFCON. I'm trying not to get worried - but we need the Egyptian King back.

Milner, Firmino, Trent all gash.

At least milners tried. Can't say the same for the other 2. Trent in particular I think could have made the goal a lot trickier if he wasn't fucking jogging about. Afuckingain

I want Diaz to get on the ball more and have someone (other than Milner) in front of him. Would definitely introduce Carvalho at half-time.

BUT WE DIDNT NEED TO REPLACE TAKI AND ORIGI IM TOLD. WE WERE TOLD THAT A19 YEAR OLD COULD REPLACE THEM

Yeah Milner's tried (as I said somewhere further back) but nothing has come off and he's just given away possession. Carvalho and Fabs MUST come on.

I wouldn’t mind. We’ve been awful but still shouldn’t be behind these fake hard man cunts
Yes we should. Our best chance came from fernandes trying to score an oggy. They hit the post before they scored

We have not tested de gea.

I'm fucking sick of these fucking bullshit posts about "we shouldn't be behind". We fucking should, because they've made Allison work, whereas we've not tested de gea at all

Our forward line is gash ATM.
Our midfield is gash ATM.
Our defence is gash ATM.

I don't know how long Trent has to repeatedly be the obvious weak defensive link and nothing is done about it. Only Elliott and Diaz have been ok, but still, it stemmed from them targetting Trent early and having us at six and sevens.

We're not winning this.

Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 117 Premier League matches when leading at half-time (W100, D17) dating back to 21 September 2014 against Leicester City (L 3-5).

The issue is what do you do though? Trent, when not in this shite form, is a guarantee of assists. Midfield?

fabs for milner
frmino is actually helping us link play, but is nowhere near the box ofc

shame we don't have a big no 9 to put on that little argie wanna be center back

We don’t really have a functioning midfield 3 anyway, so how about going to 4-2-2-2 almost inspired the system we used against Palace after the sending-off:

—————Fabinho—-Henderson————-
Elliott————————————-——-Diaz
—————Salah———-Carvalho————

I hope one day, I can have a beer with Jurgen and ask him, "Listen, be honest, no cameras, nothing, do you really think Trent is a good defender?"
