He's not a CM. At least not yet. The LCM usually operates in the first phase of ball progression in our system. Our CBs don't trust to give him the ball because they're scared (probably rightly) that he's going to quickly get pressed and lose the physical duel.

All attempts to progress the ball have been through the flanks or through chipped balls.

We're not establishing any of our patterns of play yet.
