Right, here comes the first set of tests of the season. I can't see anything other than 'the usual'

Most of our defence & midfield are well rested, the attack however have less. Jota has been rested somewhat, which is good. Szobo got some goals, so should come back with confidence. Trent too.

Kelleher

Trent
Konate
Van Dijk
Robbo

Gravieira
Mac Allister
Szobo

Salah
Jota
Diaz

Assume Jones is out? Sent back from England early or was that because his partner was about to give birth?

He's now a Dad anyway.

I think us getting the Sunday game is great for Mac. Most of the side will have had 5-7 days rest. I’d go with this team.

Let’s twat these cunts.

Sunday late afternoon instead of Saturday lunchtime.

Playing home instead of away.

v Chelsea and not some half decent side.

Happy days. Prediction is a 4-2 win.

A win would be ideal, but It would be nice if we kept up the defensive prowess and kept a clean sheet too. Annoyingly they look decent in attack so this is a huge test

What's Chelsea's likely line-up?

They seem quite steady in their line up for the mid / attack

Caideco
Enzo

Madueke
Palmer
Sancho

Jackson

Neto could play instead of Madueke.

They concede a lot of chances, but also make a lot. Zero chance of a nil nil.

Seek. And destroy.

This is one of those games that Klopp would draw, but a statement victory would be HUGE for us all.

They're missing two of their defender for this one. Both Cockarella and Fofana are out with a ban after getting 5 yellow cards already.

This is will be a great test for us to see where we are at the minute.

Past 6 years has been a pretty good record.

League
Won 6 - Drawn 6 - LOST 1

Cups
Won 4 - Drawn 2 - Lost 2
(3 of our 4 cup wins were PK wins)

Grav is going to monster Enzo and Szobo will press the life out of a bricking-it Caicedo…Macca to provide the incisiveness to carve them open.

We’ll win this in midfield and a Diaz wonder show.
Except for Szobo. Szobo is a class act. The most technical player at the club. So that you should write something different for him.

(And he also doesn't mind pressing. Mind you. The most technical player at the club that has the least amount of respect.)

Grav is a doorknob compared to Szobo

Gravy and Soshite have had the same number of boss games. It’s a shame Slobby’s last one was a year ago.

There was a post put up on our official IG page of every goal this season, and Szobo is actually a lot more involved in many of them than stats would suggest. Yes we need G/A from him, but I think he is doing a lot of what Slot wants.

In other news though, Elliot looks to be close to returning, along with a new mullet he seems to be sporting.

If we press the hell out of Caicedo then their midfield will crumble.

I’m backing the boys to get a statement win

If Neto plays, then play rough, and hope gets a season ending injury

First real test for Arne, MacAllister played 66 minutes for his country early hours after being slightly injured so might start on the bench.

Nah, Macca starts. It was good for his sharpness to play another game after returning from injury.
