I guess it makes a pleasant change that we are still looking back with relish at our last match rather than our next one with the hope of redemption.
Still, we are less than twenty four hours away from our next game so maybe it is time to start thinking about it.

Anyone else hear the rumour that Stevie is out with a hamstring injury?
There will probably be a few changes from the side that started against Man U.

Knowing us I expect nothing else but another shocking loss after the previous glorious week.

reina
johnson skrtel agger enrique
adam gerrard
hendo
kuyt bellamy
carroll

bellamy might be rested, but i think he should play if he's up for it. When is suarez back? Tottenham game?

We've beaten two of the top teams. Obviously we'll go out against Wolves and balls everything up.

We simply have to win this game. If we can win against Wolves and Spurs next monday we'd have really got up a head of steam ahead of welcoming Suarez back to the team (and maybe Tevez on loan tomorrow).

However, if the predictable loss tomorrow leads us to shortly lose touch with fourth I hope Kenny uses the tail end of the season to blood some youngsters (given we'd have already qualified for the Europa via the likely Carling cup win).

Must win and all that. Knowing us we'll draw at best.

Back for the Spurs game. This time next week.

Is Henry suspended for the game? He and Frimpong would pose quite some physical challenge in CM.
O'Hara, Frimpong and Henry are out of the game.

Apperantly Stevie twinged his hamstring on saturday (Tony Barrett). Slight injury concern, so I'd rest him for Spurs.

Reina

Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique

Spearing Adam

Kuyt Henderson Downing

Carroll

If Bellamy is fit he can start

I said in the match thread, or the aftermath thread, that we'll have a hell of a hangover on tuesday.

I genuinely believe we need to make quite a few changes to the side to win, though I imagine I'm in the minority.

I think you're right. Adam Kuyt and Spearing will be fairly fresh. We might see Kelly and Johnson at FB. Bellers only came on as a sub, so KK might start with him, but I've a feeling he'll try and save his knees and give him a bit of a rest.

I agree. We'll be fucked tomorrow night if we don't mix it up.

not convinced we've got the squad for a mix up though

After seeing the end to the game on sat, KK might be tempted by a 4-4-1-1, with Kuyt and AC up front, Downing, Spearing- Adam-Hendo behind them. Looks light on goals and creativity, but I wouldn't be surprised.

If Stevie's out I'd give Shelvey a go.

Reina
Kelly---Skrtle---Agger--Enrique

Adam

Kuyt---- Shelvey-----Downing

Maxi

Carroll

There you go! Job done! 😉

Save Hendo, Magic, and Stevie for the spurs game..

No chance in hell we get anything out of this game. Draw at best. It is the Liverpool Way.
Rather contradictory.

-------------Reina-----------

Kelly--Skrtl----Agger--Aurelio

------Spearing---Adam--------

Kuyt-------Jonjo-----Bellamy

Have we two Adams?
Ha ha Fixed! - One too many glasses of fine Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc last night 😉

After a good nights sleep, i'm still unconvinced we're getting much from this. God knows i hope i'm wrong but i just can't see it unfortunately. We'd need to rest too many important players so we dont' get dry humped by spurs
Why's everyone talking about resting players for Spurs? It's like, six days away.
Bellamy can't be playing 3 games in 7 days (allegedly), gerrard is already (allegedly) injured, Hendo is only young and played 3 games in 7 days, adam has been a bit awful of late, spearing isn't fit(?).

Defence should be the same, but thats about it

I think it's the hangover we need to deal with more than resting for spurs. But I'd rather play a rested side tonight and maybe pick up points, than rely on tired legs.

Prob being overly cautious though

it's not about resting players for spurs it's about resting them because they played a couple of days ago.
