I know Benfica is not Chelsea, however there's nothing to say this in the bag, as bigger upsets have occured.
I'd be happy with a boring draw, if t meant the players didn't have to exert themselves

Jordan Henderson in his pre-match programme notes:

"If we want to go through, we will have to be at our best. It really is that simple. Internazionale in the last round showed that, at this level, even a two-goal lead can be challenged."

"There are a few lessons from that tie that we will be taking into this game. So we will be taking nothing for granted. There will be those outside of the club who will be writing Benfica off, but we will be doing nothing of the sort."

"By the same token, we also know that if we perform to the standards that we are capable of we will have a good chance of taking another step forward in a competition that means a great deal to everyone involved with Liverpool FC."

Mane and Jota are one yellow away from missing the first leg of the semi v Villareal. Does this effect our thinking?

Everton speaks on his indepth analysis:

I’ve been trying to study the opponent after the first game, looking to better analyse the individual qualities of Alexander-Arnold and Konate,” Everton said in his pre-match press conference, as reported by the Mirror . “I have tried to see where they have difficulties, the weak point, so that I can exploit and have a happy night, to give joy to the fans.”

Some advice...

Jurgen Klopp has told Benfica: "I don't know, but what I know is what I would do: I would go for it, full throttle. I would go for it, put us under pressure, try to score early, if not, try to score a bit later. That's what you do and that's what we expect. Benfica respected us before, how we respected them before the game.

"But during the game, I'm pretty sure Benfica felt, 'OK, here and there, it was quite good, we were close.' But now, bad news for Benfica – it's Anfield. It's Anfield and they don't only play against us, they play against the whole crowd. It's cool in a specific way but we hope we can use that. I said it a couple of times, we want to be the one team nobody wants to play against, that's what we want to be. And hopefully we can be that tomorrow night."

Classic Klopp! 😀

Hey Sam, welcome! How did you find yourself on this strange little LFC interweb island?

We have to start in first gear, 100% ready. They will have a chance in the first 15 or so to catch us out. Keep it very tight from the off and we should go through. They do have pace and that gives them a chance as we just seem to play high regardless.

Just to save us from future disappointment, any opinions on Hunter Biden's laptop you would like to share up front?

Your just trying to work out all newbie political affiliations out of the way or if it’s a clone of one our fallen mentalists?

Liverpool: Alisson; Gomez, Matip, Konate, Tsimikas; Henderson, Milner, Keita; Diaz, Jota, Firmino
Substitutes: Kelleher, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Thiago, Mane, Salah, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Robertson, Origi, Alexander-Arnold, Elliott

There's more than enough in the sqaud to bring it home on the night, would love to see Harvey joining in the fray.

He’ll score the fifth.
