We don't know how high up the pitch Moreno is told to play. You also need to consider that he more or less get no help at all from the one of the attacking three on the left. Henderson isn't match fit and cover the ground he usually do. Milner helps out on the right side and make a big difference there. If Milner helped out Moreno in the same way and another player helped out Clyne then the latter one would IMO look a lot worse.

It is a team game. The midfielders and attackers must help out covering the wings.

Yeah Arn, Moreno must have followed Klopp's instructions to the tee. Klopp told him to be constantly out of position, make horrendous indulgent tackles in our box. In fact he was rewarded for his performance by being hauled off the pitch before he did anymore damage.

I do agree that full backs need help from the midfield. Of course they do. Lucas spent a season or two drifting out to left back to plug space for us. Cylne doesn't leave his right side vulnerable to attack at every opportunity. If Moreno isn't getting help from his midfielders then he need to hold his position and pick the right time to go wandering up the pitch.

If Moreno had a better last touch then he would be one hell of a left wing back. He creates a lot of chances and open up a lot of space for other players. That is one thing you can train to get better.

I have not given up on him.

You can pretty much get better at most things if you work hard enough, but you have to show the aptitude for it. Moreno has shown no improvement in his time here. He's no better a defender and no better an attacking threat. Which either means that he's not been coached in the whole time he's been here or he's not got the aptitude to learn and apply himself.

EDIT: I also think this is why Ming is so fucking gash. Every time he has a stinker or makes a stupid mistake he never brings it up when he comments about games. You'd have thought he'd show some contrition after yesterday's game and acknowledge he fucked up majorly for the goal, but he's shown no self-awareness or desire to get better; publically at least.

So why do Klopp play him from the start in almost every game if don't follow instructions? IMO a player that don't follow the instructions would be placed on the bench or in the stands. I believe that he is told by Klopp that he should attack a lot because he is one of our best players in the attacking half. He is also one of our quickest players and that is one thing we don't have many of, quick players.

I believe Klopp took him off because Moreno was tired after he covered the left side alone.

I'm hoping he only gave Mignolet that 5 year contract to try and increase his value a bit.

Having said that, he did make a few important saves and kept us in it. But overall, he's just not good enough.

He has been coached by Rodgers and we all know how shit he is when it comes down to the defending part of the game. All of our defensive players was shit during the Rodgers time here.

I will give him another year and that includes a full pre-season coached by Klopp before I judge if Moreno is good enough or not.

It takes time to change that. You don't do that in a few months.

You can't really call the penalty an individual error Peggy, that's way too harsh. It's a lottery really, he's put away every other one with aplomb.

We just didn't have luck on our side and if truth be told, had Sterling and Aguero put away their chances (and the pen been given) we could have been realistically on the end of a battering. They deserved it. We've had luck on our side in shoot-outs for years, it was bound to turn the other way at some point.
Sorry Mark but a missed penalty is an individual mistake. My point is, they happen in games. Mignolet has made far too many of late but to say he alone cost us the game yesterday, as some have, completely ignores the mistakes other players made as well as the string of fine saves he made to keep us in the game.

I'm not sure why Klopp plays him? Joe Gomez would probably be playing LB if fit. Same goes for Flan. Perhaps he isn't spoiled for options at left back and picks Moreno in hope that Moreno is going to try and at least pretend to be a competent defender? I'm a sucker for a bit of pace at the back and Moreno can get us out of a hole every now and again but he simply cannot defend. He was abysmal yesterday and he was rightfully hauled off by Klopp. He wasn't subbed due to tiredness as you alluded to above. He was hauled off because we were being crucified down his flank. Milner was then asked to play LB. The solid pro that he is, he went there and did a good job.

No one believed me when I said that Lucas is our best central defender.

You believed Lucas was our best midfielder, then he was dropped and you resigned yourself to him now being our best defender. You also believed Moreno was carrying out Klopp's plan, and then resigned yourself to him being taken off simply because he was tired. These are not beliefs Arn, they are delusions.

No one believed me when I said that Lucas is our best central defender.

You claimed that before we had any real proof of it though. It was outlandish to claim it at the time.
Skrtel is our best central defender btw. Lucas is doing an admiral job back there, just like Michael Carrick does when asked to play there. I'm a big Lucas fan but he won't start as CB for us next season. Well, I hope not anyway.

Sure other players also fluffed there lines at times... No doubt... Keeping us "in the game" isn't going above and beyond his job description though is it. Unlike out field players Mignolet is not otherwise expected to do anything much apart from keep the fucking ball out the net and give it to the outfield players.... But no... He doesn't does he...

I hope John Henry saw it and heard the fucking groans, the only bright side we can take from yesterday is the club dimunition of faith in that fucking useless clown we've got in goal.

What would peoples thoughts be if Klopp actually rates the useless fucking muppet (mignolet) and doesn't replace him in the summer? Should we have concerns about Klopp? The only way forward I can see if that does happen, is that we have to sack off the goalkeeping coach and put all the blame on him.

Love seeing someone else get Modo'd

It is actually fun because I explain my opinion and they just moan. They want a fight but won't get it. I just ignore them. I have never said that my opinion is right or wrong just that is my opinion. They think it is fun to insult people, I don't.

I don't have a clue how many that have insulted me today because I have many of them on ignore. They probably use it because I have told them that I'm ignoring them. Using it to throw more shit at me that I can't see, I call that backstabbing and everyone that do it should get banned a long time. If you tell someone that you are ignoring him or her then they should stop mentioning him or her in the discussions.

That's how it is Arn, but don't ever say that you were right cause that just isn't nice.

For the purposes of clarity, when you say people should be banned for "backstabbing" do you mean actually being stabbed with a sharp implement in the back?

I know.

Rule number one here is.

Don't praise Lucas to much but it is ok to throw shit at him as much as you like. If you "hate" Lucas then you will get away with everything. Praise him and you are a clueless idiot.

Den svenska jantelagen passar rätt bra in här.

Jantelagen på steroider.

Anyway, just don't let it get repetitive. Let some stuff slide.
People might attack your opinions or you personally but you don't need to react to it.

But there are no such rules here. There are no life threats or implements being stabbed into your back. You have become delusional, and brainwashed by the musings of 15 year old kids bullying each other on social media. There is nothing noteworthy or unusual about someone who likes Lucas. Nor is it strange that the majority don't like him. However, in order to rationalise those weightings, you seem to have constructed this elaborate fantasy inside your head.

Problem is Dantes though there are no such rules there is an air of arrogance that sweeps over this forum sometimes.
Maybe it's a cultural thing, maybe Brits have a certain way of expressing their dislike of a certain opinion. However in Sweden the arrogant one despite being right doesn't get the plaudits. To us it's rude and demeaning.
Now, I'm no angel. I do have a tendency to look up older posts and have a little laugh from time to time and I also tend to post them, not that frequently I might add, but my reasoning is if you can be arrogant about something you should be able to take the fact that you were dead wrong. But no, you're instead called a troll.

The thing about Ming is that it was so predictable he was going to be a shit signing, several on here said so at the time. If a bunch of halfwit no marks on the internet knew he would turn out badly how come the fabulously rewarded so called experts that are our scouting and transfer committee couldn't see this. Fucking useless, the lot of them, they need to be binned pdq.

In ten years I can't think of any instance where someone gets plaudits for being right. That would just be gay. Well done Ryan, you were right, you're so clever. Not a single person would bring themselves to say that. Ever. What you get 'plaudits' for is being witty, or funny or clever. Nobody gives a fuck about being right about Lucas, or has any interest in praising anybody else for being right about Lucas. We only care about how funnily you can insult him. That's the cultural difference.

This is why nobody likes Swedes and it's considered one of the most boring, humourless countries in the world.

Should you get plaudits for your stance, or is it rude or demeaning to share it?
