Devasted, no other word can sum that up. Right now I’d say I never want to see Karius in a Liverpool shirt again, but I can see Klopp giving him a chance next season through loyalty.

This team isn’t far from greatness, so close today, but Madrid are masters at getting the result at this level no matter the players or form.

Big summer coming up, hope we can make the next step and get players in who complement what we have.

He came off in the match against Roma and we lost our shit. He came off against Madrid, and again we lost our shit.

A great player he is - but we cannot be THAT reliant on just one player.

Need more match winners of his calibre - we have a great foundation in the side but QUALITY depth is the key to winning titles/cups.

Just look at that Madrid bench - Bale, Asensio, Lucas Vasquez.

You're right about the diving. Very few on here castigated Suarez when he used to dive at times for us or Mane earlier this season so you have to take the rough with the smooth. Being dirty as a defender can be as effective as scoring a 30 yard screamer , no one likes it but that doesn't mean it's not true. Pepe got away with loads of nefarious shit for years and so did John Terry and Carvalho and plenty of others as well as Skrtel for us at corners and free kicks. Shit happens..

At the start of the season, no one (bar dreamy) thought it was remotely possible that we'd still be playing on 26 May. It's been a great run, but sad the way it ended. Time to regroup, and look forward to Keita and hopefully, Fekir, bolstering what is already a very good attack. A couple of astute additions and we could very well be in for a repeat in the CL next season.

Right now, disappointment speaks loudest, but take nothing away from a very enjoyable season. There should be none of the disillusionment that greeted the end of each season up to about 3 seasons back.

Lets not sugar coat it.. Up until Salah went off, we were the better team. Afterwards, like on many other occassions this season. We were a shadow of ourselves.

I heard some people saying Ramos injured him deliberately and should have been sent off. Do I believe the former? Yes. Should he have been sent off? No. He got lucky. 99 times out of 100 he'd have landed differently got up. It was a yellow though for a cynical foul.

Gini - 6 probably the pick of the midfield for me. Still, was 2nd best to their midfield.

Hendo - 2 - I just don't get it, some here love him. Some here think me, modo and others hate him unnecessarily. No, he really isn't going to win us any finals as a captain. He's not a captain. Even Gareth smacked in the face with a frying pan Southgate knows that. I just never saw him do anything positive. Even when Karius threw the ball to Benzema, any captain worth his salt would have consoled him, told him chin up. Same at the full time whistle too. Anyway, rant over.

Milner - 5 - lost the battle.

Salah - 6 - was just getting into it. So cruel, hope his world cup isn't over, even if it is good news for him being fresh for next season.

Mane - 7 - pick of our front 3. Good finish.

Bobby - 4 - I can't decide if he was poor, or he was well marshalled. Probably a combination of both.

You must have watched a different game. Yeah we lost a bit of rythem after salah went off but it was 1-1 and we also contained them well. Karius mistakes and lack of options to make up for missing Salah cost us. We played well in most parts of that game.
