Where do we start..

Mane, Henderson and Allison pivotal to this team.. Glaringly obvious

Bobby.. has lost his magic

We need to stop without high line shite.. We have been caught out a few times this season.. with Allisson in goal, so why the duck try it with Adrian ??

It clear this system does not work with Adrian in goal. He is not a sweeper and makes the backline nervy..

That was hard to watch..

Going to be a shit crazy season..

Playing the high line nullifies VVD.

No point having the best CB in the world is your system completely exposes him.

Seeing as I went to the trouble of writing the reply whilst the match thread got locked:

So basically, we are there to be had ...

To an extent we've always kinda walked that tightrope. Think back to all the late goals and shit we pulled to keep on winning.

We are a great team no doubt but we didn't win like City did who beat teams before they even walked onto the pitch. Or a peak Barcelona who talent wise were just on a different planet to most teams they played against.

In no small part it is / was our desire, hunger and a willingness to work harder than anyone else that made us what we are. That and quality in key areas.

Take one or two key pieces of the puzzle out and we don't quite have the same overwhelming talent to fall back on.

I hope sombody asks Klopp if that was sloppy?

Why, are they a game behind? Are you a fan of that twat Keane?

There's no point in this thread. Whatever goes on behind closed doors between now and the next game, that's important. Anything else is just pointless blather.

Ollie Watkins "we had a look at how high a line they play and fancied ourselves to get in behind them"

We didnt exactly make it difficult for them. Teams have seen this tactic and are waiting for it. Lacazette did it several times last week, Watkins and Barkley did it with ease today. If the rest of the league can see it then its probably time to recognise we have an issue there.

Well that was an absurd result. To be honest it's about time someone deflated some of these puffed up popinjays. It will do them good. It's just 3 points. Still a little embarrassing though.

No, Im not. Neither am I a fan of the arrogant way Klopp dismissed a genuine criticism of our defence, which has taken a whole 6 days to be conclusively proven right.

This is fair too ... I don't think the hunger, desire etc has disappeared.
We saw Mane against Arsenal - that was a hungry, angry, vicious player.
Hopefully a healthy hendo & mane can give us some hope against Everton ... because they will attack us ...

One point I think that is key is wrt Klopp ... surely he cannot ignore what he's seen from Adrian in 21 games? 5 mistakes leading to goals is worse than Karius ...

What do we do before the window slams shut? Not much id guess, but if Matip is not fit either we need a cb in January

31% possession. Crazy.
I haven't seen the stats but for me we lost the game as much in midfield as in defence. Gini, and later Minamino & Jones ... invisible. Fabs was often bypassed too.
Funnily enough I thought Keita was OK in the first half, and didn't see why he was pulled (should have been Gini), he seemed the most involved in midfield and defence but still not on his game 100%.

I hope we come back all fired up and angry and take it out on Everton smash them 5-0 .

What else is he going to do at this point? We're not going to sign another keeper. We just have to hope and pray that Allison stays fit for the most part.

I'd hit pause on the all or nothing approach we've got going on at the moment because the team just isn't up for it. Villa seemed to have no problem evading our press, our midfield was useless and the backline left to crumble with a nervous breakdown.

It's easy to blame Gomez f0r individual mistakes - yes, he was awful - or whoever but it's the whole team at the moment.

What, has that last game been played again? Forget about multiple failed manager Keane's semi-drunk ramblings and focus on the really important things here and now.

I guess wait until 'another Edwards master stroke' and prepare for another PR onslaught on here from the club's preening cheerleaders. And (not you but others) for the last few days on here: FUCK YOU!

no way we stop 'all or nothing' - unless we get an early goal and then do what we did so well before we start getting shaky pre watford.

I'm going to be very interested to see how KLopp responds ... this is his biggest test imo as a Liverpool manager.

Crazy, given how badly we've been piped. But I think if Alisson is playing today, we win.

The high-line needs a keeper-sweeper. Not a stay-at-home GK.

And perhaps all those deflected goals don't happen if the defence aren't so worried about blocking every possible shot on goal.

But we walk that tight-rope because of the benefits it gives us up top and pressing teams. Today it we totally fell off the rope.

But I won't over-react (yet). There's work to be done and I expect the boys to do come back pissed.

Get Ally back fit (or another GK).. also get Hendo and Mane back (2 of our best pressers) and we'll be fine.

Well ... I won't lie, I enjoyed reading this ... Not sure it makes me feel any better, or makes me less concerned, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Today hurt.

Not least because I sent a torrent of jibes to my United mates after their game.

To be battered like this will only give City and others hope.

I wouldn't be worried as much if I knew Ally was back immediately after the international break.

We'll hopefully have Mane and Hendo back by then. Both are leaders in pressing; Hendo being a vocal leader on the pitch.

We also have Matip to come back (hopefully soon) so when Gomez's head goes, we can bring him back in.

And then there's also Thiago. Another bit of experience we can bring in.

Like I said, today hurts, but we reason to believe it's an anomaly.

Anyone have Klopp's post match presser? My stream didn't stay live and I need to hear the boss' words.
