Post match anger aimed at Roy?

Yes, we should have been 2 or 3 up. However, we weren't and iwhen they got the equaliser, it was so fucking depressingly inevitable.

As far as I can see, Hodgson has a Plan A. If that doesn't work, we're fucked. If we need to move on to Plan B, we're fucked. As there isnt one.

I missed a load of the first half, but from what I saw of the second I think some other people were watching a different game to me - one in which we were utterly under the cosh, riding our luck with our backs to the walls and trying to survive the rest of the game.

Whereas I seemed to be watching a fairly even, exciting and end-to-end game where realistically either side could have won it.

Is it just me?

no doubt the second half was quite equal (spurs edging it in my eyes) but its prob just because of the stark contrast to the first half. We were great in the first half and then in the second we sat back too much. We still had chances.....but overly we struggled a bit

Well, actually I did find myself being quite impressed with him compared to his usual sort of stuff.

He was by no means 'immense' - but he seemed to put in a few decent enough challenges and passed the ball forwards quite a bit.

I found myself actually not tutting at him, which was a pleasant surprise

Lucas was 'immense' too. Did you miss that?
[/quote]

Well he wasn't shit but he wasn't immense either, he didn't do alot wrong really, broke up the play and passed the ball well. Rate him based on his shit performances though.

He was better in the first half too.

As were the whole team.

Sometimes you win sometimes you loose. At the end of the day it's the manager who needs to instill that 'we shall not be defeated' mentality in his team.

That and the small fact that Spurs have better players than us, playing at home, in their best season for years, are the reasons we loose. It's going to take time to fix Liverpool and we will go backwards before we go forwards you better believe it. So this season is a bit of a write off for me.

Just wait until we have a great man in charge and sign sone better players! should be good to go in 8 months from now. Will be sad to loose Torres of course, but he is going to want champions league football next year. It could leave us in a stronger position in the long run, as we are similar situation to when he left A. Madrid.

We will have new young players to carry on the mantle. The club is great and now we have good management at the top, we will be back I have no doubts the fan base is there and the club is still the most successful in England. we are heading back I'm sure of it, it's going to be an interesting 12 months. Man united had better enjoy this season that's all I can say cos Glazer is gonna catch up with them soon enough.

The Ref was poor, we were very good, Spurs were lucky.

Let's move on.

This.

Apparently we were 5 yellow cards dirtier than our opponents who got none.

We should have taken the chances, we didnt, we played well though so... it doesnt matter for this season anyway we were never gonna finish top four.

Modric walked by him (and Carra) for the first goal. Other than that he was okay

While I don't normally subscribe to conspiracy theories about referees, we do get a remarkably hard time from Martin Atkinson so that it is difficult to believe that he doesn't have some kind of grudge.

The tackle Meireles was booked for wasn't even a foul - he got the ball clean as a whistle.

At the end of the day if we perform like that for the rest of the season add an inform Torres and Gerrard and we'll finish in the top 6.

Not with Roy in charge we wont...

Top 10 best...

Oh FFS give it a rest. You haven't a fucking clue as to what or what not he can do with this team. You're just bleating on because you think it's in vogue to do so and you think it'll make you popular. I would be very very surprised if Budgie doesn't get us to Top 6. To be clear ... I don't want him as manager but I also don't agree with the flock of sheep following Brendan on his latest crusade.

Jesus another deluded cnut... M8 his current records shows.. and to top that he aint a Top 6 manager, his track record proves it..

So in effect what you're saying is that just because he hasn't managed a team capable of a Top Six position before that he couldn't do it with Liverpool ?

Indeed. Atkinson's the latter-day David Elleray.

I wouldn't get too excited one way or the other about apportioning blame.
It's one of those things, a shit thing, but that's life.
It's what happens when you don't put your chances away. Yes Torres and Maxi are culpable, but I look at things very positively, we made several great chances that should have won us the game against a good team away from home.

I agree about Atkinson
