PL top scorer

Ibro would score goals in any league.

I know he's a choker and all, but you don't command his transfer fees without having some serious quality.

I don't think he'll pull up trees at Barca, it reminds me United buying Berbatov, it doesn't seem to fit, but he'll still regularly bang in 15+ league goals, IMO.

There's a good chance he'll become an insant success at Barca.

That's my bet anyways.

On his day he's probably the best forward in the world. Not only capable of scoring goals but is also extremely instrumental in creating chances for his teammates.

Zlatan's biggest poblem is that he's been to keep quiet when not hitting his best form. And he has struggled to shine againt the best.

E.g. against us.

eight games gone and gerrard/lampard aren't in the top 10. their managers have changed their roles this season.

After 35 games...

Rooney 26
Drogba 25
Bent 23
Tevez 22
Defoe 18

Well done stulikesdrums - the only one to predict Rooney would be the top scorer. Obviously Torres might well have beaten him had he not been out for half the season, but Rooney has still surprised me this season. Otherwise... Drogba's got lots of goals despite being in and out of the team; Bent's been very consistent in an inconsistent Sunderland side; and Tevez, similar to Rooney, has proved more prolific than anticipated. Adebayor, Defoe and Anelka have all scored less than expected.

Bent is the standout candidate from there.

Sunderland would be fighting relegation were in not for him.

Yeah for all the papers fawning over Rooney (hes admittedly had a great season) surely the real story is Bent getting 24 goals in a team thats barely above relegation standard, a remekable achievment.

Drogba will finish top scorer though, Rooney will still win every award going (PFA etc)

I'd say Rooney is going to nick it this year.
I'd love Nando to do it but I think he is going to miss too many games through injury.

Can't see it. Rooney's just not prolific.

5 in 5 is a great start all the same Bunny. 4 in the league.
I hope I am wrong but if he plays as first CF fro them , he will score a lot.
With the amount of chances they create at home someone like Marlon Harewood would bang them in!!

2 of his 4 league goals were peno's.

He's not prolific and I guarantee he will not finish within 3 goals of the top scorer let alone be the leagues top scorer.

Rafa?
