Its not mental, but its not going to happen.
Henderson and Downing are both considered option for the RW before Magic.

Musical Youth.

I recommend that our younger friends don't bother looking it up on YouTube! 🙂

Ok, is it really that mental to try out a Kelly/Johnson right hand side? Really?
[/quote]

of course not, it's perfectly reasonable. still expect to see JJ and the gang come forward with the usual stubborn, boring, objections, though.

More significantly; where are all those posters who've been slaughtering Glenjo for the last couple of months???

But, he's a bit pants at defending in his preferred position.

However he has two feet, the best of which is his right, he is quite fast, can jink past people and can shoot well with his left. All this makes me deduce that, seeing as the toilet stealing tool is usually stuck on the edge of the opposition area when they lump the place he should be, is that he should be utilized at RW.

No its so completely sane that none of our managers will do it for some odd reason.

I'd love to see it, I really can't fathom why successive managers have not given Johnson a few games at RM. He was excellent attacking Ashley Cole down that right flank yesterday and if he can do that to AC then there are not many FBs who could shut him out.

I don't understand what the point is of calling out the posters that said GlenJo was shit. Did you watch the game? He was getting skinned repeatedly and was constantly out of position. He has no positional sense whatsoever. But he's got bundles of skill and pace, no question. Is it possible to have a reasoned view of him without being singled out for it?

I've always rated glenjo as rb but yesterday was a bit of an eye opener. Chelsea attacked on our right flank on purpose...everything passed through. Perhaps a bad timed eye opener as he scored the winner but his defending was awful.

I can't work out if that's sarcasm or not.

I don't understand the point Ryan, he was great yesterday for his forward play. In fairness I thought he made some crucial interceptions and clearances in the first half, but in the second it was clear from the off that they targeted his side. I've never disputed that he's a very good 'player', I just don't accept that he's a particularly good defender. You've jumped on Enrique a fair few times for his positioning and predicted we'll give a goal away sooner or later as a result, I can't fathom how you can overlook Johnson's deficiencies on the same subject.

Every state of his yesterday showed his attacking in a Mich better light than his defending

That is not what you want to read for a 16m right back

I remember in his first season I was gutted when he got injured because as an attacking weapon he had that much of an impact (and scored a few too). If he can get back to that kind of form and stay fit, we've got a great player on our hands.

Indeed and for those games when we really get unstuck, he could be valuable running forward.

I'd like to see it given a chance, especially against the crap teams at home who come to defend.

Our RW options are extremely limited from an attacking viewpoint and Johnson could change that.

Kuyt was a waste of space yesterday, so yes this combo definitely deserves a chance. Will it happen though? Probably not.

I love Kuyt btw, I just couldn't resist the title. Was he really that bad yesterday? He harrassed the shit out of them in the first half and constantly helped break things down on their left, whether it limited his attacking threat is neither here nor there, he did his job from the front and stopped them first. I think alot of the good stuff he does goes unappreciated, he also helped Glen Jo have the freedom to attack more.

10000% serious, he needs to be given a shot there. A RB that defends and a RW that can attack. As opposed to the opposite yesterday, but I'm glad it worked. Even though Johnson got skinned numerous times.

Ah, think you meant insane.

no, the idea is so sane that anyone normal would do it, but our managers won't cause they over think it.
