IMO yes. Many decent managers have a setback somewhere on their CV.

My gut feeling is he's a good manager who is having a bad 18 months or so. He's made too many mistakes; £4.5 for N'Gog, his perseverance with Zat Knight at CB, his non-selection of Pratley etc, etc. On top of that he's been unlucky with long term injuries to Holden & lee who are Bolton's 2 best players.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was a success at his next club and was back managing in the EPL within 5 years.
