If anything he will keep Martin on his toes

We now have 5 central defenders, wow (agger to leave first)

My only concern with Sotirios is his pace.

Other than that, I see no reason why he can't fill be a successful signing for us.

He's got all the other attributes - physical and the guy is a monster at 1.95cm

I'd go with Carra and Agger (if ever) when fit at the moment, but I do think Carra needs to play less games this year as at the end of last year he looked fooked. If we do it right we should be able to phase out Carra over a couple of years similar to how Sami was handled, so Agger Skrtel long term.

I think our Greek Monster was bought just to fill in in times of injuries ala Sami the last few years

I'd not be surprised you know. Let's face it, if you were the Greek what would you do? Play in the first team challenging for the Greek league on nice wages or a bit-part at a team challenging for the Premiership, who happen to be teh most famous team in the world (arguably) on even better money? No brainer.

Everyone complains about the Greek's lack of pace yet correct me if I'm wrong but isn't he cover for Sami who bless his heart was fondly nicknamed "Sami the Snail."

The Greek will be fine and he is a menace in the air 8)
