Everyone agreed it was transition season, reality is starting to bite for some, not me.
I'm so gutted by tonight, but I still see where this team is going (I think). I think this year was always going to be like this, and I think next year will be slightly like this too (less bumps obviously). I don't know why I believe, but I guess it's part and parcel with the football fan territory.
We need to learn to win ugly.
Scum have this in abundance, even the arse still have it.

I agree, it does look like a trend. Teams, like people, have different personalities. For some reason this current group of players responds well to bollocking in the press, but falls apart at the slightest show of confidence from the manager. Weird.
They've been on a downward spirral since 2009. Last season we showed relegation form from january and picked up 17 points.
You dont change that mentality in 1 year or build a new team.
Some of our fans are desperatly short sighted and some desperatly want to be proven right about Rodgers failing. There is no quick fix.

Today did not cost us fourth. We were unlucky. If we were in for fourth we would have been higher before the game.... This season doesn`t look like fourth.
We're unlucky every fucking week. Sick of hearing it. We're not unlucky. We're average, full to the brim of players who choke and can't score fucking goals or defend properly. Luck's got fuck all to do with it.

Today we had lots of opportunities and chances that we are unlucky that at least not one of them tumbles our way and set the game. Instead their first on the target bounces in off the post. That is bad luck.
No it's not, it means they could shoot on target. That's not bad luck. It means we can't defend.
Ah. If the first tumbled our way we would have won easily. In your life, as in mine, there are plenty of things affecting your confidence. If you don´t see that happening in footie as well you are naive. A penalty miss followed up by their first on target bouncing in of the post does something to you, no matter how much your paid.

Don´t be a fool. Of course that is a if. If you dont create clear cut chances, youll never score. We did, and normally you would get something back from those chances. Its not as if we tried lucky shots from 20 yards and would have been lucky if one went in.
If you can't put the ball in the net from a clear cut chance that's not down to luck. It just means you're shit at putting the ball in the net. Bad luck would be a ball flying into the top corner and a seagull pops his clogs in mid air, drops to the ground, hitting the ball in the way and deflecting it away from the target.
Worse luck for the seagull though.
I see where your coming from and we dont disagree on that. But somewhere in between the high blue sky and deep black hell there are some fucking coincidences that made all the 50/50 balls inside their 5 yard box bump their way and not our way. And there is some kind of luck involved there too.
