I know we get much tastier bites at the Spastic Aquarium that is Blue Fume, but I do keep an eye out on a Monday for the doomed, wizened old flids over at Grand Old Team, especially after another Bitters capitulation.

(Seven points after seven games, just fyi)

Current hot topics: Jordan Pickford (yet again), who veers from "great" to "a big-headed midget with tiny arms" with alarming regularity. Current consensus is that Everton should cash in, as he has no presence and thinks he's better than he is. Lots of speculation that he may have ADHD and is a jittery grinning Mackem gobshite and should probably fuck off.

Siggurdsson is currently (as ever) an overrated fraud who cost them £20m too much, and the value of recent signing Iwobi is also under severe scrutiny, as he apparently can't play more than 50 minutes and they got robbed.

Poor old Calvert-Lewin is their top scorer, but still belongs in the Championship - which, coincidentally, is also where Everton will end up if they don't sack Silva/ Brands/ everyone.

And Silva.....oh dear Marco Silva. The current mood has actually veered off the usual path of vindictive spiteful hatred, almost into a weird kind of resignation that maybe he's as good as Everton deserve? ie not really?

But actually no, FUCK Silva and his Just For Men fucking hair, the cunt! What Everton really need right now is......

.......Brendan Rodgers!

Big Character, great personality, top coach.

Would Brendan give his life for Everton though?

I don't think Rodgers would view Everton as a real step-up from Leicester, so that's possibly a moot point.

Unless Moshi Moshi threw money at him and promised him £200m to spend or something daft....then maybe?

But given the Bitters howled at Koeman for decorating his Xmas tree with red baubles, I'm not sure he'll get much leeway as an ex-Liverpool manager.

Yep. I love that tackle.

Watched it with a few mates (all reds) in a blues pub where my mates blue dad was. It was fucking ferocious the atmosphere in there, made it all the better.
My favourite was Carra on Nani. That was ace. Nani started crying! LOL

Almost every blue I've spoken to recently genuinely thinks they're getting Mourinho in. I'm not sure they understand how much that would actually cost, even assuming he'd take the job, which is a massive (& incorrect) assumption.

Are we hoping for Arsenal to batter these cunts so we can have a good laugh at them or a draw to keep Ole in a job for just a little longer?

Obviously a utd win is out of the question.

I've never subscribed to the school of thought that wants Utd to win or draw to keep a manager in a job. I want them to lose every single match. There were even one or two who wanted them to win the Europa league a couple of years ago to keep Maureen in the job.

Nope - lose every match, sack a manager every 3 months, that's what keeps my pecker up. Sure we run the risk that they might strike lucky with the next manager, but its a risk I'm happy to take. Seeing Pochetino go to OT and fall flat on his face will be epic.

Yes, it's impossible to actually want United to win, regardless of the Ole situation, but having him at the wheel is very fun, so I'd like to see that continue for a while.

Not sure Arsenal are really capable of battering them anyway, but who knows? It would be funny, yeah, but I don't want Arsenal getting too confident either.

It’s one of those games that could end up a dour 0-0 or 4-4 because both defences are shit.

Shit probably is going too far. Just not very good. I think you will see Aubameyang having plenty of chances.

Wan bissaka and Maguire have been good signings for them but let's be honest they need 9 more.

Mata, Matic & Young past it.
Pereira and Mctomminay - LOL
De gea showing signs of being past it.
Pogba quality but doesn't wanna be there.
Lingard - LOOL
Rashford - Hit and miss
Martial - Quality but injured a lot.
Shaw - Fat and overweight...Still
Lindelof & Jones - LOL

The BBC have a pick the “best combined side” feature on their site for this match, the best XI is basically United with Arsenal’s attackers. I wouldn’t be surprised if United win tonight.

All the media talk is about how Arsenal are going to win tonight. We must be in the minority, because I think United will beat them.

I think Ole will have to play a proper Maureen style compact system, attempting to use Rashford's pace on the break. With Arsenal's defence, that just might yield a goal, but Arsenal's attack might well prise open the Utd defence, even if they do sit back. That being said, I think a 0-0 is the most likely result.

A dismal, attritional, Monday Night 0-0 grueller!

Sky should stick that on a banner ad

I'd be happily surprised if it was a goal fest. I'm with Doc though. I think a 0-0 is the most likely outcome. With any luck though it will a good match - Weirdly though I think Utd might just sneak one in the injury time or something.

I don't know, I think Arsenal offer more of a goal threat than Man U. Leaning towards an Arsenal win especially since Rashford is out.

Utd will win, they'll see it as a sign that they have turned the corner, Norwegian press will do an in depth analysis of matches form the last Monday of September over the last 20 years & declare them champions, ratface will be smug ...

Then they'll go to Newcastle on Saturday and get roundly beaten and it will all fall apart again

Mourinho - the latter day career switch to relegation specialist. Send him to Newcastle.

Hard one this, I worry about United losing, because I don't want Ollie getting fired before we play them, but at the same time, hahahahah.
