I was very vocal at the time. Two points off us at the time and added Mata with a point to prove. I was worried they'd turn it round and push us all the way.

Can't believe actually how shit Moyes has made them. This has been most most excellent.

He's 30 though this year, not sure whether they'd want to spend big bucks on a left back that age.

Same here, nothings changed either, still feel the same, that window was a shambles and a massive letdown for Rodgers, he deserved so much better from the suits in charge.

Thankfully we didn't get any major injuries and have a top manager and a great team/team spirit that have done us proud this season and the suits incompetence didn't end up affecting it.

I just didn't want them to get Mata. However, I didn't expect Moyes to be so inept as using him. Take about giving an ipad to your gran.

Good lord we really have to beat Sunderland to stay in the race. I dunno if my heart can take it.

He's David Moyes though, so fingers crossed.

I really don't want Moyes to help out Everton again. I'd much rather Baines stayed where he is.

That Fellani money has gotten them to where they are this season as much as or even moreso than Martinez has. Next season they've got no Lukaku and no Barry and they need to find the money to replace them. Without selling one of their prized assets that money isn't there - well, what is there won't be much.

It was hilarious listening to Moyes before the game - already cocky after a couple of wins - predict how City would set up, how they'd play and how he was going to tame them, and then...boom, 1-0. What a barmpot.

It was phenomenal how he let Silva roam free. It's like he's never managed in the premier league before.

I bet they buy Bonney boy from Swansea to replace lukaku

If they get CL they will have more cash

I know Ryan. I was trying to find comfort in your words at the time but my hysterical nature got the better of me.

I was angry Chelsea sold Mata to United. Felt it was unnecessary and worried he would act as a catalyst for them in a drive for 4th. I'm thrilled at how ineffectual he has been. Thank you David Moyes, for nullifying one of the leagues best players. Long may it continue.

Yep , I was saying this to the lads during the game. It's like Moyes picks 11 players with no set game plan. Then he makes a substitution he feels that he should make without instructing players if there is a change in how he wants them to set up. Was Rooney playing midfield in the second half? No structure, no game plan, no cohesion. He's a mess.

The only comfort though was that it gave us the opportunity to watch David Silva play, which I could sit and watch all day and night.

Such a footballer.

Why did he have Fellaini and Cleverly sit out wide? Did he think that'd prevent Navas and Nasri from doing any damage or something?

It backfired quite spectacularly as Silva absolutely ruined them in the first 15mins - City arguably could've been 3-0 up if Silva had any kind of goalscoring ability.

After that I thought Utd looked a bit better than they have done this season and had a few chances themselves to score. The truth is that City probably played within themselves after they went 1-0 up and felt as though they could just wait for a couple more goals to come, which they did.

It's ace.

At Everton he knew the primary objective was to stop the other team scoring & hope they got a goal on the break.

That works against a lot of poorer clubs when you have better players than them (which he does now, & bought in for Everton) but it doesn't work against top clubs.

So he's had to revisit that for that reason. He's also had to look at playing more attacking footy cos the fans demand it.

It's like a perfect storm, he's almost forced into forgoing everything he's good at, & is trying to get a side playing attacking football, which he clearly has no clue how to do, & is just hoping that sticking enough attacking players on the pitch will do it.

It seemed to me that the plan was to overload the midfield, hound Toure, and to break forward in numbers when they won the ball.

The latter part of that plan kinda worked, cos anytime they did nick it they stormed forward quickly with Fellaini coming in from the left of the box - their problem was the continually poor final ball, and their lack of a number 9. None of Fellaini, Mata, Cleverley looked at all like scoring, and City did well to force Rooney away from goal.

The problem with that midfield though is that out of the 5 of them there's not one player who could account defensively for Nasri or Silva, who ran riot coming inside and overloading Carrick. Silva just kept dropping into the gap between Evra and Carrick (to the side of the hole) and no one knew how to pick him up.

It's just rank bad management and set-up from Moyes. He didn't even have the nous to change it, he just sits there looking worried. He's one million miles out of his depth.
