Maybe (Suarez 9 goals, Sturridge 9 goals, Spurs as a team 9 goals 😉), but I also notice that Spurs had until today conceded the fewest goals. And they brought in attackers such as Lamela, Soldado while retaining Adebayor and Defoe. You could be right about the false number 9 idea and they do have the players to do that in principle. I also think Villas Boas is being found out.

I get the impression he over complicates things almost for the sake of it, how they can only of scored 9 league goals with basically a 3rd of the season gone is a disgrace for them with the players they have at their disposal.
Said at the start of the season no matter how much money you spend you just can't replace what Bale bought to the team and how important those rare few special players are, same with us and Suarez, no matter how much money we get for him we will never replace what he brings to the team barring us signing Messi or Ronaldo.

Today was the 1st time he even made it on the bench for league game. Plan was probably to flog him off and bring in a replacement but his stay and high wages meant plan was disrupted?

Their situation in midfield is slightly similiar to ours in central defence. Capoue, Paulinho, Eriksen, Sandro, Holtby, Sigurdsson, Townsend, Dembele, Lamela, Chadli, Lennon, Sigurdsson 😵
