Southampton are so like us. Bad defending and when they attack they play the ball into the most congested areas and over-elaborate.

De gea is excellent though.
Best goalie in the league this season.
Southampton's corners are actually worse than ours.

Damn thought Van Persie was crocked there.
Rooney over screaming obscenities at the ref and he let's it go.
Fellaini elbows Wanyama about 3 feet away from the linesman and not a thing done.

To be fair, should have been a red on Van Persie. Was a cunt of a tackle that.

Will beat us on Sunday and we're 10 points behind. Happy days. Not.
So lucky today and Southampton lost the game with two very poor defensive mistakes. Utd had 1 chance in the 2nd half - goal.
Worst part is all the Utd wankers that went into hiding last season are now out in force again, and we're fucking shite.

Manchester United may have left Southampton with three points, but Gary Neville felt their performance was laughably bad.

Two goals from Robin van Persie saw United climb to third in the Premier League after a 2-1 win at St Mary’s, a result which manager Louis van Gaal later described as “lucky”.
And Sky Sports pundit Neville was shocked by how poorly the expensively-assembled team passed the ball.

Louis van Gaal believes his Manchester United side were lucky
“I think probably he won't have managed as bad a passing performance as that in his career,” he said on Monday Night Football.
“Louis van Gaal will watch the video back and think they were so bad in their passing at times. It almost got to the point where you started laughing it was so bad. I was that frustrated I was laughing,

“I couldn’t believe the amount of times they gave it away and in the first half the amount of times they passed it back.
“You’re looking at players there and there’s £100million worth in central midfield and £50m or £60m up front. They’re massive players.
“Forget the back. Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young are make-shift wing-backs at best and you’ve got young kids and players playing out of position. I can see why it would be bad at the back and disrupted.
“In front of that it was so bad in terms of the passing and the accuracy of the passing. Louis van Gaal will be shocked at how bad it was. I was shocked.”

Bit worrying how terrible utd have been but keep winning. If RVP goes on a run they will do well. Gits

Given the number of injuries we have I'm surprised we are winning at all.

Hopefully when the rest of the team, still about 4 first XI missing, get fit we will start to improve performances wise but I'd happily settle for just continuing winning at the moment.

You're dismissing Neuer...

As for MU, they are on a winning run w/o playing well. I guess next they'll either run out of luck and start dropping points, or their confidence will keep growing and they'll re-establish themselves as challengers. I know what I'd like.

The difference between them and us is that they have the goald in them, while we have gone from having the best forwards in the league to one of the poorest in just a few months.
Oh, and lady luck.

Injuries or not, youse had a seriously expensive starting 11 last night. Not like it was a team full of kids.

And Southampton had a few key players out too.

I agree we got lucky last night regardless of the team that was out there.

I was more thinking of the wins over the last five where we have had four first XI players or more out injured.
