Yep. I think that's relevant for us, too. When the ball is played into areas like that, they're absolute bastards to deal with as defenders. You can study them in slo-mo and list who should have done what, but the reality is, in a game at high speed, those balls are nightmares for even great defences. And we get our fair share of them against us. And I'm not so bothered that we, too, struggle to deal with them. I'm more bothered and baffled by the fact that, as an attacking side, with all our technical talent, we don't play such balls as much ourselves. That's the greater issue, I'd argue. We tend to play in predictable lines in front of the opposition back four, rather than try to whip in balls like that from angles into the area. If we mixed it up more we'd benefit. We've got Coutinho and Lallana and Hendo and Firmino, for god's sake - they're all technically able to do that, and yet it's left to the likes of Leicester and Stoke and Palace to show us up!
The movement from Vardy was brilliant, the sign of a man in the form of his life, and that wicked ball in just bisected Terry and Zouma. Nice first time finish.
Mahrez hasn't been in the game as much as he should be but when he gets it he's class. What a pass for Vardy ! However it's his control, technical ability and pace that set him apart. He doesn't look like a player just having a hot spell.
Leicester look dangerous every time they attack, Chelsea look impotent despite all their possession. Arguably both sides have lost their most influential midfielders though. I told my Dad 3-2 to Leicester when we spoke yesterday (he's been a Chelsea fan all his life, he's 84 now) and I still see more goals in this.
